Ekta Kapoor's Popular TV Show Brahmarakshas To Go Off Air Next Month!

Here's another show completing its stint in the TV world. Come next month, Ekta Kapoor's supernatural drama, Brahmarakshas - Jaag Utha Shaitaan will no longer entertain you and the reason is...

BUZZ: Ekta Kapoor's Popular TV Show Brahmarakshas To Go Off Air Next Month!class="imageAlignMiddle

or those of you who are glued to their television set every weekend when the clock strikes 9 pm, here's a bit of disappointing news.

Zee TV's show Brahmarakshas - Jaag Utha Shaitaan which is an Ekta Kapoor product, is all set to go off air next month.

Although the show was not really performing up to the mark past 2 months, the reason to pull out the show is not related to its dipping performance.

The reason for the show to go off air is that the contract of the serial expires in February. Zee TV had a 54 episodes contract with Ekta and the story has almost run its course. Now whether the show will get an extension or not is yet uncertain. No official announcement about renewing the contract has been made by Ekta or Zee TV as yet.

Sometime back, Brahmarakshas- Jaag Utha Shaitaan was among the Top 3 shows.

The show in question is loosely based on fantasy thriller film, Jaani Dushman.

Brahmarakshas-Jaag Utha Shaitaan is the story of a young girl from Mumbai named Raina who goes to Kamalpura with her best friend to attend a wedding. After reaching there, Raina (Krystle D'Souza) and Rishabh (Aham Sharma) lose someone special to both of them in an encounter with the monster Brahmarakshas (played by Parag Tyagi) in Kamalpura village. They decide to enter into a contract marriage so that they can meet and take revenge from the monster who is responsible for  the bride's death.

Brahmarakshas- Jaag Utha Shaitaan also saw Kishwer Merchant in a series of episodes. However, her character Aparajita has died in the serial now.

Ekta seems to have developed a knack of running stipulated-stint shows. Another case in point is Naagin. Will Brahmarakshas come back for another season? Time will tell.

i am glad this is coming to an end. I am enjoying this show immensely and I would hate to see the writers drag this, and then come up with some stupid twists and turns or regurgitate stuff, like some other shows
This is good news to me

Just expect the makers to give a decent closure and not just rush through. No worries as it was stated from the beginning that it is a finite series.

Glad, finally actors will be released from this crap. Aham and Krystal deserves the best along with Bhaiyya (naam bhul gayi).  But onscreen Bhaiyya will always stay with us on our fun land.😆

Glad it's going to end finally . The leads deserve better as both are terrific actors with tremendous screen presence .
Hope the show ends on a good note .
