The bubbly girl next door that you can't help but adore upon meeting. Saanjh Mathur is a girl that many can't help but click with. With a heart of gold and a dazzling smile, Saanjh is the perfect personification of her name. For dusk is the time where the colors have danced together in the skies and are now slowly fading to rest as the stars begin to twinkle and the moon shines its bright light; cutting across the dark seas of the night. Saanjh's positivity and selfless nature is the bright shine of the moon which illuminates even when it's the darkest hour. Born into a family that had no lack of love, Saanjh has only known the emotions that come with love. Regardless of her qualifications as a lawyer, Saanjh's just nature also comes in handy when arguments arise between those she loves and she takes it on herself to solve the problems. She wears her heart on her sleeve and having known only love in her life, nobody prepared her for the cruel tests of life.

Arjun's darling little brother that only knows how to put a smile on his family's face. He's the bridge that connects Arjun and his mother. Ayaan is the silver lining in the dark stormy clouds. He's young and his youth allows him to make tough situations light and fun. His goals are simple: joke around, get the pretty ladies, and see his family smiling. While there is a little child in him, Ayaan's capable of being serious and understanding when he needs to be. He's worked hard in trying to lessen the gap between his brother and mother, knowing that if Arjun gets upset with his mother, there needs to be someone calm that can handle an upset Arjun. The modern day young blood, Ayaan's the balance that is needed in the Sharma household where things get rocky every now and then.

Master manipulator, Ashwin Mehrotra is a man that is tolerating his wife and his daughter for the sake of his own gain. Having tormented his daughter since her youth, Ashwin is relentless when it comes to wanting the inheritance that comes with his wife's name. Currently separated, Ashwin wastes no opportunity to try and woo Jhanvi again. There's a darkness that surrounds Ashwin, darkness that stems from greed and forces him to lose touch with humanity; enough to behave with Maya and Jhanvi regardless of how it affects their lives. There is only one thing that dictates Ashwin's life and that is money.

A woman who stepped up to the duties of her ailing best friend. Vandana Sharma accepted a marriage of convenience to raise her best friend's son after she passed away. For years the relationship between Arjun and her has been sour but never has Vandana swayed from her duties as a mother. Every day she spend waiting to be accepted by her eldest son as his mother. No matter her surroundings, Vandana remains vigilant and her sharp eyes miss nothing. From the obvious feelings that her son's best friend holds for him or the distaste that she sees in his eyes for herself; Vandana constantly remains vigilant to make sure nothing hurts her children. A mother's heart can never bear the harm to her children.

His name does justice to him for his heart is filled with nothing but genuine love. Love for his wife, his son, and his daughter. Like any father, Prem's observant and doesn't want to see his daughter's heart break. Although having taken the leap of faith in love when it came to his own life, Prem worries for his daughter. As a father, he wants to protect and often we see that getting highlighted when he gets upset with his family for motivating things unnecessarily. Although he worries, Prem is easily swayed when he witnesses the joy and happiness in his family's eyes. Appearance wise he may look stern, but he's a soft hearted man that is willing to understand both sides of the story and even if his mind tells him not to support, his heart always retaliates. Prem's the father that we've known all our lives.

A daughter's best friend is her mother and Suman has proven that time and time again. Whether it be letting her kids call her by her given name or pushing her daughter in the direction of her love; Suman's given nothing but her full support. She's stood by her daughter's side and will stand by through thick and thin. As a mother, she's understanding of what is going on around her and has no problem with adjusting to it or helping if it is needed. Suman believes in laughter and love solving any problems and is always seen joking around with whoever she meets. Suman's a natural when it comes to decreasing the tension in any situation. She explains it all with a smile and urges everyone to get along because families should always stick together rather than break apart over petty issues. Suman Mathur is the type of woman that has just as big of a heart as her husband.

Proudly dubbed Makkhi (which in the literal sense translates to: a fly) by Arjun and Saanjh, Mr. Malkani is Saanjh's Boss and a stout man that has a very dry sense of humor. Although he often berates Saanjh, there have been times where he's shown concern for her and has tried cheering her up (even though it was unsuccessful). Mr. Malkani is a man that is good at his job and wants Saanjh to succeed. He's the type of Boss that berates you but praises you just as equally for a job well done; while at the same time, he acknowledges your talent and pushes you forth. Saanjh's Makkhi Boss isn't around very often but when he is, there's always bound to be a few smiles that are cracked.

Although he's the youngest of the family, Shubh Mathur has the sass to rival even Arjun himself. He's often the one offering advice to his sister and just like the rest of his family, Shubh's got a heart full of love. Still young and focused on his studies, Shubh is often seen locking horns with his sister or advising her with relationship tips that often include illogic tips which ironically make sense. Shubh doesn't take much to heart but coming from a family that believes in staying together and sharing the love, it will come as no surprise if Shubh ends up being the bigger man in any conflicts he faces.
