I have heard that Nehru was not taking any action in Hyderabad so he was suggested to go on the foreign visit. after that Patel took swift action.

Nehru and Gandhi were extremely soft on Pakistan. Gandhi made GoI pay Pakistan 400 cr. rupees when we were fighting a war with them.

Anyways... whoever was in majority, at least the Hindus co-existed with muslims in kashmir until the attacks on kashmiri pandits began... I believe that the attacks on kasmiri Hindus was one specific event that was the turning point in the demography of kashmir...after which very few hindus remained and the population became predominantly a muslim one...

Infact even I had no idea that there was anything known as kashmiri Shaivism until recently...😳

Because of this ethnic cleansing in J&K many people of India do not even know that once kashmir was well known all over the world for its Hindus and specifically the philosophy of Kashmiri Shaivism. There were learned scholars in Kashmir like Swami Lakshman Joo under whose tutelage people from all over the world came to study kashmiri Shaivaism texts like Siva Sutras, pratyabhigyahridaym, Spanda karikas and vijyan Bhairav tantra. Furthermore, there are famous spiritual works like Panchastavi and spiritual masters like Pandit Gopi Krishna originating from Kashmir.

But what do we know kashmir now for - a terrorism inflicted muslim majority state. Why does no one question how kashmir became a muslim majority state of today ? Probably because they never know that a rich Hindu culture ever existed in kashmir at all... Raja Hari Singh would have been really sad to see what kashmir has transformed into today. 😒
