He was filled with melancholy and despondence; He was a fool to trust her again.Since childhood the only thing she has done is to break his trust off.All her memories rushed to him.Every little thing about her still imprinted in his heart.He loved her,he truly did but his ego and distrust won't let him admit that out loud.
She came where he was sitting; she was desperate to talk to him, explain herself.
"Shravan talk to me"
She plead to him, her confident aura diminishing.His face was void of any emotion ,frightened her.
"There is nothing to talk"
His emotionless voice caught her off guard.He was back on with the cold look with her.He was shutting her.
"Shravan , please trust me"
Her voice cracked up a bit.He laughed bitterly at the word" trust"
"Trust?? what trust?I don't think i know what trust is.Neither do you"
His cold words felt like needles to her.An unsettling feeling passed through her.
"Even after so many years,you can't trust me"
A lone tear escaped from her eyes.
She bitterly spat.Her ears not believing what he said.His insecurities always rifts them apart.
"No"
His tone a bit harsher than he intended it to be.She flinched at his tone.His words woke her up back to the reality; she isn't going to be submissive his time.She valued her self respect more than anything even Shravan.
"Well then there is nothing left to say"
She said in a tight,clipped voice.Her confidence was back on guarding her.
It was now his turn to be stunned, he knew Suman's ego will definitely come between them.
"If a person cannot trust me, believe me then i can't be with him.Never"
She turned to leave; tears caught up in her eyes, face flushed with remorse.She was letting him go off"
He stood there frozen.This was what he wanted but when this is happening he felt sick.He felt like being stabbed with a knife.
"I love you sumo"
He whispered in that empty area.He loved her yet he cannot say it to her.His insecurities, guilt and despair cannot let him live with her.
Suman turned back just to have a look at him
"I love you Shravan"
She said to herself,Her eyes never leaving him.She desperately wanted to be with him but not at the cost of her self respect which was now turned into her ego.
Both were broken, shattered and devastated.Both hurting..Love does that to you.Her heart still weeping for him, her name still in his heart.But cannot be with eachother as they always hurt eachother.Some things should be just left like this.
"Maybe it was best for both of us"
He whispered into thin air, her face still in his eyes.
