Lakshman invokes the eternal powers and seeks a power that could compel all the asuras to stay outside his line. Lakshman draws a Lakshman Rekha and tells Sita that it is the symbol of his devotion and sacrifice. Demons often disguise themselves as saints. Hence she shouldn't cross the line. If she does so, the power of the line will . Sita agrees and Lakshman proceeds.
Ravana is informed of Lakshman's departure. Ravana tells him to inform everyone that Lanka would soon get a new maid. He further utters that Surpanakha shouldn't let her thirst of revenge die. Sita, the woman responsible for her insult, would beg for her life at her feet.
Mandodari expresses her anxiety to Vibhishan and asks him to predict Ravana's future. Vibhishan tells her that neither Ravana nor Lanka is safe. Ravana's ill deed might ruin Lanka. Mandodari utters that no sin is greater than Sita's abduction, they must stop Ravana from accomplishing this ill deed.
Sita grows anxious at the ashram. She remembers Shiva and Parvati and prays for Ram's safety. Parvati utters that it's Sita who is in danger, but she's praying for her husband's safety. Ravana laughs in an evil manner and thinks of his revenge. Parvati tells Mahadev that this moment is extremely ill because a woman is being used in the tale of enmity that involves two men. She fears that the sinners may repeat Ravana's act in the future.
Despite all his might, Ravana fails to cross the Lakshman Rekha. Ram comes running towards the ashram and meets Lakshman in the way. He tells Lakshman that they have been deceived and asks him that why he left Sita alone? Lakshman apologizes and tells Ram that Sita forced him to break his promise by threatening to end her life. Ram and Lakshman rush towards the ashram.
Ravana disguises himself as a sage and thinks that Sita can surely cross the line. He keeps yelling "Bhiksham Dehi" on the top of his voice till Sita hears his voice turns around. She apologizes for being late and invites him in. Ravana scolds her and utters that it's strictly prohibited for him to enter a Grihastha ashram. She must bring the alms here itself. Sita agrees and goes to fetch some. She returns and recalls Lakshman's words.
