Ram, Lakshman & Sita are on their way to Chitrakut. Seeing them quiet, lakshman thinks of a way to bring smile on their face. He praises the greenery & flowers around. Smells a flower, starts sneezing. He tells Sita to do something to help him. Ram smiles. Sita looks around, takes some leaves, crushes them, asks Lakshman to smell them. He stops sneezing. She asks him, isn't he aware of smelling Gulkandi's flower, may result in sneezing. Lakshman says he knows about the smell of these flower, but is ready to bear any smell to see them smiling. They move ahead.
A huge Banyan tree is spotted by them. Sita says this tree looks pious. Ram says Devas reside in such tree. Doing pradakshina of such tree is believed to fulfill one's wishes. Sita wants to do pradakshina of the tree with Ram. Both pray near the three. Sita asks for Ram's happiness & love should always blossom in their life. Ram asks her, what did she pray for. Sita says it can be disclosed. Ram thinks, he knows she must have asked for their love & happiness.
They finally reach Mount Chitrakut . Ram says they'll spend
their vanvaas time here. Some birds are seen chirping, coming near them. Lakshman says
there must be some trouble around. Sita tells him, they are infact coming to
welcome them. All the birds, trees, flowers are expressing their pleasure, are
welcoming them. Anything that has life or is lifeless, reacts on seeing
something new. All the birds sit on the tree near them.
Ram is surprised at her knowledge about Nature, asks her how does she know so much about them? Sita says, being Bhumija, she feels connected to Nature, can understand them faster. Ram feels happy spending his vanvaas time with her.
Some rishis, welcomes them, asks them to spend some time in their aashram. Rishi Bharadwaj had informed about their arrival. Ram, Lakshman, Sita accepts their invitation.
At Ayodhya, rishi Vashistha, explains Bharat, Kaushlya,
Sumitra, Urmila, Mandavi, significance of lighting a lamp, near Dashrath's asthi kalash.
Lamp indicates, the departed soul. After pind daan, even this lamp
will be immersed in water, indicating the soul is on his new journey.
Kaikeyi comes there, complaining to Urmila about her son, Shatrughna treating Manthara badly, who is like her mother. She asks Bharat, why is he tolerating such behaviour? Bharat says even she should be send out of Ayodhya. Now he'll try to restore dharma in Ayodhya. Her crime is much bigger. He holds her hand, starts dragging her out of the palace. Kaushlya, stops them, slaps him. Bharat says if slapping him can reduce burden of injustice done by her mother then he is ready to bear more. He brings Kaikeyi out of the palace, tells her, she can not live here any more, shuts the place doors.
Rishi Jabali comes there, says you are no longer a rajmata. Now only an ordinary woman, is your status. It's sad, you still haven't realized your mistake. Kaikeyi leaves from there. People of Ayodhya are watching her. She understands result of her action now.
Precap: Kaikeyi is near the River, is thinking of taking Jal Samadhi. Kaushlya, Sumitra are informed about the same.
