Siya Ke Ram Written Update - March 20, 2016

Sita is in her room remembering her vachans during their marriage.  Ram comes there and calls her.  He tells her that he had actually given vachan during their marriage that they will follow their dharma together but now due to an unusual situation, they have to separate and he has decided to go to the jungle alone.  Sita says she accepts his decision to follow his dharm but she has also decided to follow her patni dharm and to accompany him to the jungle.  Ram says he respects her feelings but has decided to go to the jungle alone.  Sita says to Ram that he is fulfilling his duty as a son but Ram interrupts her and says he is fulfilling his duty as a King, this is rajdharm and his duty towards his country, towards his kul, and towards his subjects.  He is the eldest son and a rajkumar and if he does not fulfill his duty, it would set a bad example.  Sita questions him cannot she do her duty as a wife.  Ram tells her it is going to be tough in jungle and she would not find happiness or comforts of palace there.  Sita says without him, palace would also be like a jungle and with him, the jungle would also seem like a palace and she would not be happy without Ram.  She asks him to allow her to come to the jungle and fulfill her duty of being with him always, in happiness and sorrow.  Sumitra who was passing by there overhears this and drops the plate she was holding in her hand.  Ram and Sita turn to the sound and Sita goes to Sumitra.  She gives her the plate.  Both are emotional and do not say anything.  Sumitra leaves from there.

Dasharath is calling Ram's name.  He becomes delusional and sees little Ram calling him at the door and then come inside.  Kausalya is with him and trying to comfort him.  Dasharath tells Kausalya that Ram just said he is going to jungle but he is playing here.  Kausalya is sad listening to it.  Dasharath sees little Ram call him again and move away from closing the door.  Dasharath jumps out of the bed calling Ram and falls down.  Kausalya and Sumantra are helpless seeing Dasharath's condition.  Sumitra comes there.  Dasharath gets unwell again.

Ram asks Sita to understand the situation.  Kausalya, Sumitra and others are already upset with him going to the jungle and how would they agree knowing Sita's decision to follow him.  Sita tells him if he agrees with her, everyone will agree and she would convince them as she is doing her patni dharm.  She tells him she does not understand why Ram is not agreeing with her.  Ram tells first thing is Kekeyi wants only Ram to go to jungle, she did not ask Sita to go and the next is life is full of uncertainties and he does not know what lies ahead of him for the next 14 years.  So, he would not allow her to be a part of the uncertain dangerous life.  Sita tells him she accepts this uncertain life and would be happy with him.  Ram tells she is right but sometimes, tough decisions need to be taken.  He wants to live his life with her and this hope would help him survive the 14 years in the jungle and she will always feel his presence even in palace and the fact that she is waiting for him to return would encourage him to complete his vanvaas and return back and this is the reason he wants her to not come with him.  Sita thinks that she knows Ram is not allowing her to come with him because of his love for her and her love tells her that she should follow him to the jungle.

Manthara is in her room, happy and speaking to herself.  She tells according to the rules, someone who is away from the country for 14 long years, loses his rights.  So when Ram goes away for 14 years and when he returns back, he loses his right over the kingdom and also Bharath would have won the people's heart as a king.

In Lanka, Kaikasi slaps Shurpanakha.  Shurpanakha cries and tells her that Ram has killed her husband by cheating and made her a widow.  She tells a brother's duty is to protect his sister's suhaag but he himself killed it.  Kaikasi tells she knows Raavan would not do such a thing.  Mandodari who was watching all this tries to comfort Shurpanakha.  Mandodari tells Kaikasi that overambitious person would do anything and even killing his own relatives and taunts Kaikasi for this as she encouraged Raavan to become the lord of three worlds and they do not know how much rakshasa women have to suffer.  She comforts Shurpanakha and they both leave from there.

Kausalya, Sumitra, Urmila, Mandavi and Shruthakirti are in Sita's room.  Kausalya scolds her for taking such a decision.  She tells Sita that it is not so easy for her to allow Ram to go to jungle but somehow she permitted him but she would not allow Sita to go.  The sisters cry and go to Sita.  Mandavi says Sita had told them before their marriage that all four sisters will be together always and now how could she decide to go away from them.  Shruthakirti asks Sita for what is she punishing them all.  Sita says she is following a wife's duty to be with her husband always.  Kausalya tells her she is also a raghukul daughter-in-law and it is defaming their kul to allow a daughter-in-law to roam in the forests and she would not allow it.  Sumitra tells Sita that Ram is trapped in Kekeyi's trap and she does not know how much it hurts them but they will not allow Sita to go with him.

Precap:  Ram is with Dasharath.  Kekeyi comes to see them.  Dasharath shouts at her to not come in front of him or to show any concern.  Kekeyi tells that she came to remind Ram that he has to leave right away to jungle.  Ram agrees to go that day only.
