The episode starts with Laxman requesting Ram to promise him that he too would be allowed to accompany him to vanvaas.
Ram hugs his bro lovingly Laxman is elated
In his room Dashrath is getting the jitters of impending separation from Ram, sita is by his bedside consoling him. Dashrath says Ram had decided to leave for the vanvaas. Nothing will stop him. The family was heading for a time where peace and quiet will be disturbed , Ram thanks Urmila for informing him about laxman ,
Ram leaves Laxman with Urmila , after Ram leaves he tells urmila about his decision to accompany him for vanvaas , he had not asked Urmila about it ,
In his room Dashrath asks Sita to make him stop from going to vanvaas. Sita assures him Ram will do just that which is correct and righteous
Dashrath then pleads Guru vashisht to ask Ram not to go for vanvaas, he will surely leave other wise he will leave .
Guru vashisht remains silent and dashrath begins to weep
Manthra dances and sings her way to Kaikeyi's room and happily tells her that ram was so fond of his father that just to fulfill his father's wishes he was going for vanvaan
Kaikayi asks if Dashrath had announced his decision ?? Manthra says he need not announce anything Ram himself was willing to go to vanwaas
Kaikeyi says she just wanted to see Bharat on the throne
Manthra shouts raj mata kaikeyi ki jai !!
Ram comes to meet Sumitra and Kaushlya ?
Sumitra asks him why did he not consult his other two mothers before taking decision ?? Why was kaikeyi's wish so important ?? Why were his other twomother's wishes not of any importance ?? Why this discrimination ??
Ram says all there mothers were one entity for him.
He seeks permission to leave for vanvaas .it is son's duty to fulfill all parents wishes. He could not discharge any duty with out her permissions
Reluctantly... Tearfully Kaushlya reminds him of his infancy days .
Kayshlya laments at the thoughts of impending separation
But she tells Sulitra that she was not just a mother was also a queen of this kingdom and had duties towards state , similarly Ram too should fulfill his duties towards his state and the family. She asks him to perform his duties Sumitra and kaushlya lament over not being able to stop ram from leaving .
In Sita's room , Urmila, mandvi and shrutkirti ask Sita how could she sit so quiet when there was so much going on ?? Jeeja shri was leaving for vangaman !! She should be stopping Jeeja shri from leaving for vanvaas
Sita calmly announces she had taken her decision already .
At Lanka Distraught furious Shuronakha comes in black clothes veandishing a sword shouts out at Ravan to come and meet his death. For revenging her pati's death
Mandodari asks surpanakha why was she doing this ?! Surp tells Mandodari that soon she too was going to become a widow as she was going to kill him, ravan's mother comes and tries to explain to Surp , she slaps the furious willful daughter , who was hell bent upon killing her bro Ravan .Surp is stunned .
In Sita's room she says her life was given to Ram, whether in wakefulness or in sleep all her actions were for Ram, Sita's sisters remark Sshe was so quiet and calm at all times even in times of trouble. They hug Sita . Sita thinks her duty was to be with Ram at all times, nd she had decided she will accompany with him for vanvaas

Ram tells Sita that at the time of wedding , saat phera , he had promised her that they both will do all work together , but in the present circumstances he will have to go alone for the sake of duties ,for the sake of duties they will have to be separated now . Sita is shocked .
