Siya Ke Ram Written Update - March 16, 2016

Sumantra returns to rajsabha.  All are surprised to see him come alone.  Guru Vashisht asks him why did not Dasharath come with him as the muhurath would pass over.  Sumantra tells them that King Dasharath has called Ram alone to discuss something important.  The purohits tell it is inauspicious to let Ram get up from the simhaasan and go at this time.  All are worried.  Ram tells obeying one's father would not be inauspicious and asks Gugu Vashisht's permission to get up and go to meet his father.  Guru Vashisht permits and Ram looks at Sita and they both get up from the simhaasan.  Ram and Sumantra go to meet King Dasharath.

Sita is worried as what would be the reason for Dasharath's absence and his untimely call to meet Ram alone.  Kausalya and Sumitra are also worried.  Kausalya tells Sumitra that this is so unlikely of Dasharath's behavior as he would follow all the rituals dedicatedly and how much he was hurried to complete the coronation of Ram.  Sumitra consoles her.  Sita thinks maybe they are all overly worried and comes to Kausalya.  Sita tells Kausalya that they were also worried like her when King Dasharath had called Ram and Sita to the secret meeting before and everyone knows the result of it.  She asks them to wait and not to get worried.  Lakshman is also angry about this issue.  Kausalya is still not convinced knowing how much Dasharath wanted to complete the coronation of Ram so urgently.

In daanav lok, Raavan and Malyavan are leaving from there when daanav king and Vidyuhjihva stop them and instigate to fight.  Raavan tells them if not for Shurpanakha, he would have killed Vidyutjihva and he is simply leaving from there as he considers them as relatives and is leaving from there.  Vidyutjihva tells him he would kill Raavan and then make Shurpanakha a dasi in his kingdom.  Raavan turns back and tells Vidyutjihva's words are enough to make Raavan forget this relationship and he would kill him.  He fights with their soldiers first and then Raavan kills Vidyutjihva.

Ram and Sumantra are nearing the room where Dasharath and Kekeyi are.  Manthara comes to them running and crying.  Ram is worried seeing her condition and rushes to meet Dasharath.  Sumantra tells Ram that he will wait for him outside the room.  Ram enters the room and sees Kekeyi's devastated condition.  He then sees Dasharath lying down and rushes to him.  He makes him lie down on a cot.  Dasharath is ill and could not tell anything to Ram other than just calling his name.  Ram asks Kekeyi about what happened and why is his father weak and ill.  Kekeyi tells Ram that Dasharath is in dilemma and unable to take a decision and so he is faking illness.  Ram asks her to tell him.  Kekeyi tells Dasharath had given her two boons before and now she is demanding her boons be fulfilled.  Dasharath is blinded by his putra moh and is not fulfilling his vachan.  He asks Ram to fulfill his father's vachan and save him from committing adharm.  Dasharath is helplessly witnessing all this.  Ram comes in front of Kekeyi and asks her to tell the vachans.  Kekeyi turns away from him and tells him unless he promises her, she would not say.  Ram tells her that keeping up his father's words is his dharma and promises her.  Kekeyi then says Dasharath's first vachan is that her son Bharath would become the king of Ayodhya and the other vachan is Ram should go for vanvaas for 14 years.  Ram is stunned for a minute and then he comes to Kekeyi and holds her shoulders and turns her towards him and asks her is it just that.  Kekeyi could not face him and turns away.  Ram tells her Bharath is his favorite brother and he would be the happiest to see him as the king of Ayodhya.  He then tells her that fulfilling his father's vachan is his dharma and fulfilling his mother's wish would be his responsibility and greatest pleasure.  He touches her feet and asks for her blessings.  Kekeyi is moved by it but is reluctant to bless him.  Ram then goes to Dasharath and touches his feet.  Dasharath is still in pain/weakness/confusion about whatever is happening.  Ram leaves from there.
