I'm sure you all know what this post will be about- the color of the outfit Twinkle initially chose and then the outfit Kunj chose.

Pink (Twinkle): Pink is a delicate color that means sweet, playful, cute, romantic, charming, feminine, and tenderness. It is the color of universal love of oneself and of others. Pink represents friendship and affection. Both red and pink represent love. The color red represents passion while the color pink represents romance and charm. Hot pink is used to communicate playfulness, while light pink is used to communicate tenderness.

Orange (Kunj): Orange is associated with meanings of joy, sunshine, enthusiasm, happiness, and fun. Orange promotes emotional energy that should be shared, such as compassion and passion. Orange will help a person recover from disappointments, a wounded heart, or a blow to one's pride. While made up of red and yellow, it carries less aggression and fierceness than the color red due to its combination with the calming color yellow.

I'm actually going to start with the orange suit Kunj picked out. It was very simple and had a silver design on the collar while the dupatta was gold (#SuitEnvy). Either way, the color he chose was similar to what Twinkle had in mind as far as the tint went. It was not a dark, dark orange and Twinkle's initial choice was not a dark pink. As the discussion on orange suggests, the color Kunj chose for her conveys a sense of happiness and fun. It is something apt for this current phase in their relationship where they are starting over and going on dates, flirting, etc. As the passage above says, orange also promotes emotional energy such as compassion and passion. Both these qualities are exemplified in Kunj and Twinkle's relationship. Compassion means sympathetic concern for the suffering of others and Kunj displays that and so much for Twinkle. Twinkle, too, reciprocates when the need arises (January 8th episode; when she comforts Kunj over Anita's harsh words). Orange also promotes passion. I believe, as viewers, we are accustomed to seeing passion in the typical rough manner however TEI displays passion through meaningful gazes, gentle physical touch and more. The color orange also helps people recover from disappointments and wounded hearts. This whole idea of starting over stemmed from Twinkle being hurt by Mahi and regretting Yuvi's involvement in her life. Hence, I find it fitting that Kunj began his wooing of her by gifting her this outfit. Red is a powerful color. A while back I made a post on the characters of this show and their personality colors and I said that Yuvraaj is red for his aggression and passion. I'm not sure if you all agree but I think it is safe to say Yuvraaj is passionate about Twinkle- yes, he may not be right, but he has a junoon for her that can be seen as passion. I find it interesting that the color outfit Kunj chose for Twinkle is a mix of red (passion) and yellow (hope, positivity, etc.); it shows that while he is passionate about Twinkle, there is a gentleness to his love, a tenderness missing in Yuvraaj. It also shows to Twinkle that passionate love is not always painful. It can be a beautiful experience.

Twinkle initially wanted to wear a pink suit on her date with Kunj. It was also a simple suit which perhaps showed the sweet, simple nature of her. All the qualities associated with the color pink fit Twinkle appropriately, atleast they fit the Twinkle we knew before marriage. I like that she picked this color because it showed the return of our old Twinkle. It was like she was truly starting over as her old self. Furthermore, pink represents friendship and affection which are key elements in a relationship. To kunj, love is friendship so this seems apt. It says that red and pink are both colors of love yet pink represents charming someone. This works well as that is exactly what Kunj is doing. Twinkle's chosen outfit was light pink which communicated the biggest aspect present in her and Kunj's relationship and the biggest aspect absent in her and Yuvraaj's relationship.

I hope all my overanalyzing makes sense! Feel free to disagree, agree, etc. I look forward to hearing what you all have to say!

Beautifully summed! I think it's so easy to contrast the colors that one associates with Yuvi and Kunj. In the same situation, Yuvi would've used a color that expressed passion and ferocity while Kunj opted for happiness to be one of the factors in their relationship alongside all the passion and love.

In my post, I kinda started mentioning colors and their importance but I decided to leave it to Areeba because she handles that so well, and how could I forget your awesomeness?! I'm so used to associating you with music now, but ugh such a brilliant writer! Completely and absolutely agree because their choices were indeed very similar and the one thing that just stands out to me about the colors is the sense of warmth and happiness. It's the most prominent thing in their relationship as they have started fresh and it's amazing to see how the colors are so representative of their emotions. Also love everything you said about Kunj's passion in the gentle way, because that is so apt! Kunj and Twinkle share a passionate relationship without even touching most of the time.

And I also agree with what you said about Yuvi! Yuvi definitely has a junoon for Twinkle, he's obsessed with the idea of possessing her, which motivates his every action and decision. He sharply lacks the tenderness that Kunj has for Twinkle. Again, brilliant job Meg!
