Param Sundari review and box office
Swara, meaning self shining in the oldest language Sanskrit, the name is as beautiful as this young lady herself. Beauty is not by appearance but by a person's soul. This very famous statement totally suits our Swara Bose here. A fun-loving soul who enjoys life to her fullest, Swara is one of the most kind-hearted people and is a girl of modern times.
She carries an aura of positivity around her because of which nobody can resist liking this young girl. With music in her veins, notes in her throat and tunes in the heart, she is a singer and an ace guitarist who can mesmerize anyone with her melodious, enchanting voice. While everything was going on well, suddenly everything changed, one day-
She came to know the biggest truth of her life. That she Swara, is the daughter of Shekhar uncle who is her neighbor! The caring soul that she is she instantly wanted the reunion of her parents. Also, being brought up only by Ma and Dida, she always craved for a prefect family. After a lot of struggle and with the help of Lakshya and Ragini she reunited them and her life was perfect until the devil entered.
Sanskaar Maheshwari, the believed dead son of Maheshwaris who had now become mad. But yet she shared something with him. A connect. She inside knew that he was faking this madness, that wants to destroy her. Her, now venomous sister, had forced Swara to love Lakshya and soon they were to get married but then, finally the truth unveiled in front of her. However, her destroyer had now turned savior. Swara forgave Sanskaar, instantly realizing his quest for vengeance because of his love and when again everything was to be perfect, a tyrannous storm hit her life.
Her sister, her very own Ragini pushed her in the doors of death and married her fiance. Her Ma-Baba broke up and so did her heart. But she found comfort and solace in the soothing words and friendship of her new best friend Sanskaar. Swara never gives up! She never gave up upon the truth. She wasn't wrong and her innocence was proved with Sanskaar's help. She never gave up on the fact that someday Ragini might change. She never gave up on the fact that she wasn't wrong when she had been maligned, when she was a betrayer for Lakshya, when she had been charged of kidnapping her sister and neither then, when she was all set to marry her new and true love after all, Sanskaar. All the times spent with her best friend were healing and opening her heart and what his presence could not do, separation did, thus opening a new world for her full of love. She faced troubles here too. She had to leave him for Kavita, his first love, but when united with him, she fought against all odds and enemies for her relationship. Swara Bose is the epitome of strength, generosity, love, affection, confidence and righteousness and that's why we all love her.
Ragini Gadodia, the only daughter of Shekhar & Janaki was raised by her daadi after the early death of her mother. Ragini was a conservative girl who always dreamt of meeting her dream man & marrying him. Lakshya Maheshwari came into her life as an embodiment of all her childhood dreams. And before she knew it she was irrevocably in love with him.
Good fortune smiled on her when she met her half sister Swara Bose, daughter of Sharmishtha Bose, Shekhar's first love. They had an instant soul connect & went on to become the inseparable Swaragini. The sister's united their parents in holy matrimony but Ragini paid for it by having to break off her engagement with Lakshya.
Lakshya & Ragini united once more on Sanskaar's insistence. Ragini's happiness knew no bounds as she was getting back her love. But there was more heart break in store for her when she learnt that Lakshya loved her sister Swara. This incident changed her forever & this change was ushered in by none other than Sanskaar. Sanskaar & Ragini plotted to separate the two lovebirds. It climaxed with Ragini pushing her sister off a bridge into a river & ended up taking Swara's place in the mandap & marrying Lakshya. In the process she sacrificed her friendship with Sanskaar, her relationship with Swara & also her Ma Baba's marriage.
Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned. Ragini went on to prove this idiom when Lakshya refused her her conjugal rights as a wife & she found out that he still loved Swara. After that she stopped at nothing to get Lakshya. Deception, drugs, murder, kidnapping, slander, coercion...she did it all. Even after getting exposed she was determined to get back Lakshya & punish SwaSan for everything they had done. She faked a memory loss which she ended only to come up with an even more dangerous plan where she tried to prove Swara was two timing the cousins. But even here she was exposed by Swara. Things took a turn for the worse when Lakshya kidnapped Ragini & then tried to kill her. Unable to digest the constant rejection & insults she stopped wishing for Lakshya's love & instead concentrated on avenging her insults. Using Annapurna's failing health & Durga Prasad's secret past Ragini went on to become the owner of the house & all their businesses. She was jolted out of this revenge mode of hers when Lakshya saved her from an attack on her life & the Maheshwari's chose to forgive her. Her anger & resentment melted away when Lakshya accepted her as his wife. But Lakshya betrayed her again & jilted her at the altar where he had promised to remarry her. Much to her shock Lakshya had divorced her & had married his girlfriend Kavya. A year later, Ragini now finds herself standing where she had started her journey with a big burden of bad Karma as her only companion apart from her sister Swara.
Sanskaar Maheshwari, the eldest son of Ram Prasad and Sujata Maheshwari, began his journey in Swaragini as the rather mysterious cousin of the main lead at the time, Lakshya. Sanskaar's role was entirely unusual- that of a traumatized lover, driven to madness by grief on the day of his secret wedding, especially when it became clear that the madness was a pretense to take revenge from his uncle and cousin, whom he believed caused his girlfriend's tragic death. Sanskaar formed a friendship with Ragini Gadodia, Lakshya's then fiance, and the antics of the addled young man with his "duppatewaali dost" led to much interest from viewers. Sanskaar was shown as distinctly "grey"; he gave impetus for the hidden vindictiveness in the seemingly angelic Ragini to manifest, in a bid to win her love Lakshya away from her sister, Swara.
Sanskaar masterminded, with Ragini, numerous ills against the straightforward Swara to discredit her and thus break off her relationship with Lakshya, to a pivotal point when Sanskaar finally gave into his conscience, which chided him for making Swara a totally innocent casualty. Since then, it was clear that Sanskaar was to be a key lead character in Swaragini.
The show then went to on show a truly masterful redemption for Sanskaar, who fell in love irrevocably with the same girl he had tried to hurt, making recompense to her in a way that led to a love story that has touched a multitude of hearts.
Sanskaar is the type of character not usually seen in the often "black and white" world serials. He is unashamedly a man of contrasts- a realist, who nevertheless proved to be a totally romantic and steadfast lover. His love is like him- uncompromising but irrefutable, and deeply powerful and moving. Sanskaar will do what is necessary, without hypocrisy or apology. When he loved Swara, he announced it to her, and the world, in a way that made us fall in love with him. He stood by her through unimaginable trials, never demanding that she reciprocate. He was always patient, despite the strength of his love being monumental enough to move mountains. Even when in love though, he was never a doormat. Be it his own mother or Swara, whilst Sanskaar will allow the people he loves a lot of leeway, he will be no-one's slave.
We witnessed a heartbroken Sanskaar, who smilingly bore the agony of unrequited love, and yet showed Swara his unswerving loyalty and support. When a marriage was forced on them by the Ragini, instead of rejoicing at being bound to Swara, he only felt her pain and made her an astounding promise- that he would never force his will on her or ask her to accept him if she did not want to.
After incredible tribulations, when he had lost all hope, Swara too fell deeply in love with him, but Ragini's machinations again parted them. At that time, we witnessed the angry and stubborn Sanskaar- a sight to inspire fear and dread for viewers used to seeing the immensely loving man who would do anything for his Swara. When it seemed all that was coming right, fate cruelly brought back Kavita to his life and more drama ensued, forcing yet more obstacles in his way to realizing his love. Finally, it seems that Sanskaar is going to get the reward he justly deserves- a marriage to his soul mate Swara, and the exit of his ex-girlfriend's maleficent presence.
Sanskaar is the epitome of the ideal man and it is easy to see why he inspires a fan following that is as loyal as he is and devoted to every aspect of the package of special that makes the incredible and unforgettable Sanskaar Maheshwari.
Laksh Maheshwari is the son of Durgapasad Maheshwari and Annapurna Maheshwari. Irascible, spoilt and flawed - on the best of days, Laksh is difficult and frustrating and hard to like. However, his abiding love for his family, and his willingness to put everything at stake for them, including his happiness, do twinge the heart. Laksh doesn't do things in half measures - he feels everything deeply, be it overpowering rage or overwhelming passion. These are the contradictions that make him such an interesting character.
The inherent contradiction and dichotomy in his character is evident in his two personas - on one hand, there is Lucky, the rich, spoilt brat with a devil may care attitude, born out of his need to rebel against his family and its stifling ways. On the other hand, there is Laksh Maheshwari, devoted son and beloved brother, who can go to any lengths to protect and avenge the same family.
It was the fun-loving, irresponsible Lucky who was intended for Ragini but fell in love with Swara, and it was the sombre, penitent Lakshya with the weight of the world on his shoulders that eventually married Ragini. It was fickle and reckless Lucky's actions, really, that set in motion the events that would make and break so many people and so many lives, but little did he realize it then. Swara embodied everything that Lucky had ever wanted in his dream girl, and he was willing to do anything to ensure that he got his happily-ever-after. In his quest for Swara's love he mindlessly trampled over her sister's Ragini's heart, whose love for him knew no bounds, and destroyed her sanity and her very being. It was guilt and remorse that eventually lead him to marry her, and Lucky gave way to a dutiful, responsible, mature and grown-up Lakshya.
When Lakshya discovered Ragini's betrayal and bore witness to her madness and her ill-treatment of his family, repentant, remorseful Lakshya burnt to the ground and out of the ashes emerged a new Lakshya - this time forged with rage and a thirst for revenge. Not a man to do anything in half-measures, Lakshya's thirst for revenge blinded him so completely that he decided to break Ragini in the worst possible way - by playing with her emotions and using her body, and leading her to believe that he loved her, before breaking her completely, utterly into tiny pieces.
His pursuit of vengeance blinded him absolutely - so much so that he wilfully ignored what his heart was telling him, that people do change. Lakshya listened to his mind over his heart, and in doing so not only destroyed the one person who loved him absolutely and to the point of madness, but also set himself and his family up for more unhappiness - the same family for whom he had walked down this path in the first place. Heart and mind at war, that is what seems to be Lakshya's curse and one can only hope that Lakshya finds peace, absolution and happiness somewhere along the way.
While one is the girl of modern times, second is reserved and conservative, yet their devotion towards the Almighty binds them together. While one has a guitar in her hands and one plays the sitar, yet their music ties them together. While one is a Bengali and other a Marwari, religions of humanity and generosity bind them together. However different these two beautiful young ladies might be, they share a beautiful bond, the bond of affection, love and compassion for each other which they fondly call- SwaRagini.
Swaragini can fight all odds and emerge victorious just like when they had reunited their parents and this strength of theirs comes from their bond which is like a knot. Just like they way, a knot slackens but never breaks, so doesn't the sisterhood of Swaragini. A knot has to go through pushes and pulls, ups and downs which the Swaragini relationship had to go through as well.
When both fell for the same man and Lakshya chose Swara over Ragini, the obsession to snatch her first love back removed the love Ragini had for her sister. Her heart became full of venom to the extent that she was ready to kill her sister. That's when this knot was just about to break but Swara would never let that happen. She survived the shock of losing her love and family but determined to put everything straight and become Swaragini again, she went against her sister. She succeeded in her aim but failed in getting her sister back. Ragini this time filled with the poison of vengeance swore to destroy her sister at any cost. Again playing the game of innocence, she tried to malign Swara yet not realizing, what a gem her sister is. But Swara was no more a fool, she realized that the knot was again loose and in her wrath said that Swaragini would never be back again. But that never meant that she would kidnap her sister. Still she had to face the punishment of the crime she never did, and then Ragini realized that Swara was never wrong. Again Swaragini reunited to find the culprit, who was none other than Lakshya.
But the bond was not strong even now. Still present were the faults, the insecurities and no trust. Money and power deprives a man of his goodness and humility. Ragini became greedy and revengeful because Lakshya had tried to kill her. Swara, infuriated with her behavior, again stood in front of her with the hope of bringing her back, but alas there was yet no avail. But deep beneath both had the love and care for each other. When Swara was reunited with Sanskaar and finally Ragini got the love that she wanted from Lakshya all became well. This time the villain wasn't Ragini and to catch her, Swaragini again reunited, this time with more strength. Ragini realized her faults seeing Swara's care and apologized. Swara's happiness knew no bounds and Swaragini together solved each other's problems thus tightening their knot again!
Swaragini-Sisters by Heart
They want to bring up their dearest daughter-in-law Ragini to whom they call Lado, without making her realize that her mother isn't alive and they are proud of their dearest daughter in laws values. So they want her to get married with Lakshya the son of prestigious family of their Marwari society, Maheshwari family but Lakshya doesn't want to marry Ragini.
Both of them, especially Dadi participate in all good and bad deeds of Ragini for Swara or anyone else. Dadi doesn't want Sharmishtha as their daughter in law still and tries every possibility to prove Sharmishtha and Swara wrong.
Swara Bose, the protagonist of the show has been brought up by two of the most amazing and inspiring ladies: Shobha Bose, her grand mother, who she lovingly calls Dida and her mom, Sharmishtha Bose Gadodia.Sharmishtha, after finally giving up on her unhappy first marriage, decided to come back to her mom with her little girl Swara. The ladies share a great bond with one another and are each other's strength. When one of them cries, the other two are always ready to wipe those tears and fight with the person responsible for those tears.Swara, while growing up had no restrictions whatsoever.Swara has been taught to be honest and truthful and fight for what she believes in. Swara like her mother and Dida, has learnt never to give up.The ladies have stood together and are righteous.
Swara is an exact replica, "parchai" of her mom and Dida. While she got her naughtier and chirpy side from her Dida, she got her headstrong and matured nature from her Mom.Bose family always believes in forgiving and giving second chances.Dida, was the first one to forget her enmity with Parvati Gadodia and extend the hands for friendship for her daughter's happiness. Even after not being accepted completely by the Gadodia Family after her marriage with Shekhar Gadodia, Sharmishtha and Swara with their patience and maturity won the hearts of the family and made their own place. Sharmishtha loves Ragini as dearly as she loves Swara and always wants the best for both of her daughters.Dida, Sharmishtha and Swara are strong, independent woman who inspire the woman audience to be more like them.
Ragini, protagonist, turned antagonist and now protagonist, was brought up by a very strict and close minded Marwari family.Having lost her mother Janki Gadodia at a very young age, Ragini was brought up by her grand Parents Deendayal Gadodia and Parvati Gadodia and her father Shekhar Gadodia. The family, being conservative, always believed that the elders of the family should take the decision for their children while children can not have an opinion of their life. They considered it dis-respectable for children to voice their opinion out about anything. They believed that getting married outside of caste was a sin.Hence, despite of loving a Bengali girl Sharmishtha, Shekhar, under the pressure of his parents, ends up marrying a cultured, Marwari girl, Janki. But things changed after Swara and Ragini learned the truth of their parents relationship and them being half-sisters.Both decided to join hands and fight to unite their parents and give them a happy life, not worrying about the society. The fight was hard, especially because it was against their family. But the sisters were successfully able to unite their parents.Even though it took time, Sharmishtha and Swara became the part of the Gadodia family in real sense.
While that happened, Ragini, who was raised with the idea of falling in love with the man she was engaged too, Lakshya Maheshwari - became an antagonist, creating difficult situations in the life of Swara and Sharmishtha. While no one in the Gadodia family believed the mother daughter duo over Ragini, when Ragini's true colors were revealed, Gadodia family was forced to accept that nature of upbringing is what matters and not the clothes and the outspoken attitude of children. With this, the family changed their vision about the values and customs and became more open minded accepting Swara and Sharmishtha once again.
Sanskaar Maheshwari, an antagonist turned protagonist and Lakshya Maheshwari, protagonist, but with the shades of grey character, are two sons brought up in a very strict and a close-minded Marwari family.Lakshya is the son of Durga Prasad Maheshwari, the head of the family and Annapurna Maheshwari. He also has an elder brother, Adarsh Maheshwari, who is married to Parineeta Maheshwari.Sanskaar and Lakshya are first cousins and few months apart, Sanskaar being the elder one, he is the son of Ram Prasad Maheshwari, Durga Prasad Maheshwari's younger brother and Sujata Maheshwari.Sanskaar also has a younger sister, namely Uttara Maheswari.
Durga Prasad Maheshwari is not only the head of the family, but is also the president of the Marwari caste. He used to consider himself as a sole decision maker of his family. He was very strict, rude and ruthless. He hated Gadodia's, especially Swara for her "illegitimate" status. But certain turn of events completely changed his outlook towards life and Swara. He accepted Swara into the family as his daughter.Annapurna Maheshwari, is the first lady of the Maheshwari household, who takes care of the family. She loves each and every member of the family equally and dearly. She is more lenient towards her own son, Lakshya. Even when Durga Prasad Maheshwari was ready to accept Swara for his son Lakshya, she was still skeptical in accepting Swara because of her Bengali background. She was more fond of Ragini since she was a cultured, Marwari girl. But with the turn of events, Annapurna accepted Swara as her daughter in law whole-heartedly when Swara got married to Sanskaar.Sujata's character, is known to be silly, punky and funny. She started off as a grey shaded character since she wasn't able to bear the injustice that her son, Sanskaar bore. When he returned to avenge his own family, she supported him completely, along with Ragini. She was not at all fond of Swara because of her Bengali background.Hence, she had always opposed Swara's - Sanskaar's relationship, even after knowing the fact that her son loved Swara to death. But with time, Swara with her efforts was able to change her views about her and make a place in her heart.Sanskaar was always more close to his Baadi maa, Annapurna Maheshwari, whom he lovingly calls Maa.Even though Sujata is quite punky at times, she is ever ready to stand and fight for and protect her family.
When one thinks of Shekhar as a father, what he meant to Swara and to Ragini, one is instantly reminded of the old saying "Any man can become a father, but it takes someone really special to be a Dad."
Shekhar was an essentially good natured man, who really had an innate capacity for warmth and affection. But where he did come up short, where he massively failed Swara, and in a sense, Ragini too, was in his lack of spine, lack of conviction.
A true father is always there. He is the one who instantly adores his infant daughter from the moment he lays eyes on her.He is there with arms ready to catch her when she takes her first steps or stumbles. He is there to teach her and tease her and laugh with her; to approve, disapprove, accept and forgive. And the greatest gift he could give his daughter, is to believe in her.
Shekhar, unfortunately, could not be this figure for Swara. And even for Ragini, he more or less took a backseat in her upbringing, mostly letting his dictatorial, close minded mother tend to his daughter.
Perhaps, his own guilt at his betrayal of Shomi, and his inability to truly love Janki, contributed to this. One hopes, that now Shomi and he have embarked on a loving, happy married life; he would be able to discharge his responsibilities as a father much better, too.He needs to actually show the love he is capable of.
They say that a mother's love is kindled in her womb, just as a father's love is kindled in his heart. But very rarely, one comes across a wonderful, empathetic, giving soul like Sharmishtha, who is able to love two daughters equally---one born of her womb, for whom she is the mother of the flesh; and another, for whom she is mother by love.
For Swara, Shomi was the only parent for much of her young life. Her love was a divine gift to Swara, wrapping her in a warm cocoon of comfort and strength.Shomi always put Swara's needs, happiness and well being before her own, and imbued her with a fierce resolve to always do the right thing---not matter how hard that course might be.Swara was, literally, a vital part of Shomi's heart, beating forever outside her own chest.
For Ragini, Shomi was that one person who could be relied upon to tell the complete, unvarnished truth. She loves Ragini unconditionally, despite all her criminal misdemeanors and sins against Swara and Shomi herself. She never wanted to force Ragini to measure up to something, but just wanted to set her feet on the right path.
In many ways, Shomi is the personification of what an ideal mother would be like--possessing a beautiful heart and soul, soft and tender and giving; and yet, tempered with a spine of steel. Her strength of character and indomitable will, are invaluable to both her daughters.
SwaSan - an amalgamation of Swara and Sanskaar is now a lynchpin of the show. This beautiful couple started the show as adversaries.Sanskaar set out to ruin Swara - she was collateral damage in his quest for misguided revenge. Finally, her innocence touched him and his conscience rebelled, and the destroyer turned savior.Swara for her part forgave him without any hesitation and gave him a new lease of life. She made him see the error of his ways and offered him understanding instead of repulsion, her soft heart overcome by his pain.
Thus started a tentative and unlikely friendship, which was cemented when he helped her to regain her life after the most horrific of betrayals by her sister. Sanskaar felt truly, madly and deeply in love with Swara during a pretend marriage, and whilst being her friend. As she once saved him from darkness and despair, he has since been her guardian and guide. His steadfast support and unstinting loyalty grounded her during the time when everyone, including her very own near and dear ones, abandoned her.He was and is her rock, her shield and her sword. They both healed each other in different ways and learnt to laugh together and find solace in each other amidst the worst of times. Swara feared his love - having no yardstick for true trust and love, such immense feeling can be frightening and so she refused to acknowledge or reciprocate his heartrending adoration but he was patient and kind, never demanding but always accepting.
However his selfless devotion triumphed and she finally too succumbed to what was always inevitable. She loved him in a way worthy of his awe inspiring love and fought for the one thing that truly mattered to her and to them - him and his heart. It was then Sara's turn to face heartbreak as circumstances, and Sanskaar's own disillusions, forced them apart again, both agonized and shattered. When it seemed misunderstandings would resolve, a ghost from the past intruded and SwaSan faced third party interference in the form of his ex girlfriend. However nothing could stand in their way and they both eventually accepted each other-their mutual acceptance of feeling leading to a truly golden phase in the show. A re-marriage was planned but that too faced overwhelming odds. However, in time for the 1st Anniversary, SwaSan are finally married with all the required ceremony and with no doubts in their hearts this time whatsoever.New challenges already await them, but when they are together, they will endure and triumph over all, so we cannot wait to see them at the next stage of their already epic journey.
SwaSan to us are the epitome of entwined souls, each one truly completes the other.Their love transcends boundaries and is a marriage and union of their very spirits.SwaSan are synonymous with love. All that they do, feel and experience is as perfect as them, whether in pain, or joy, in sickness and in health, for richer or poorer and not even death shall part them, as some loves live on forever.
SwaSan- Destiny Intertwined
"Love, hate, such a fine line..."
That, basically, defines Ragini and Lakshya's relationship in a nutshell.Born out of deception and betrayal, and forged in profound love and overpowering hatred...their's is a story like no other.
Lakshya was intended for Ragini, but fell for her sister Swara instead.Swara embodied everything that Lakshya had ever wanted in his dream girl, and he was willing to do anything to ensure that he got his happily-ever-after.In his quest for Swara's love, he mindlessly trampled over Ragini's heart, whose love for him knew no bounds, and destroyed her sanity and her very being. So much so that she would have gone to any lengths to have him, and she did.Ragini and Lakshya got married...and so began their tumultuous journey of pain and passion.
In the beginning, Ragini, for Lakshya, was a simple tool against Swara, and unwittingly, like many others, he ended up pushing Ragini, weaned on insecurity and mistrust all her life, further down a path lit with hatred and obsession.Ragini, completely consumed by her obsessive, frenzied love for Lakshya, set out wreaking havoc on anyone and everyone who seemingly stood in the way of her quest for Lakshya's love, even if it be her beloved sister Swara.
When Lakshya realized the demon that Ragini had turned into, he set down his own path of vengeance and hatred. Not a man to do anything in half-measures, Lakshya's thirst for revenge blinded him so completely that he decided to break Ragini in the worst possible way - by playing with her emotions and using her body, and leading her to believe that he loved her, before breaking her completely, utterly into irreparable shards.
It is at this point that Ragini and Lakshya stand today...having left behind in their wake complete madness, destruction, chaos and immeasurable pain. But all is not lost...their tale of love and loss may yet be.Both Ragini and Lakshya are immensely damaged people who have done terrible, terrible things, but all those things came from a misguided sense of love and hate, and the inability to let go.To any sane person, it may look like they've ruined things far too much to be able to salvage any love out of the wreckage, but since when has love been sane ?
"Bada badtameez, besharam, khudgarz hota hai par pyaar toh aisa hi hota hai..."
When you look at it, at the core, Lakshya and Ragini are literally the same people, really crazy, really f**ked up, and their capacity for both love and hatred is infinite.Be it love or hatred, they both do nothing in half measures, no matter what the cost.Soulmates and twin souls in the truest sense of the word. Sane people, normal people, may simply not be equipped to handle that level of passion and insanity. One can only hope that they pause in their cycle of pain and destruction to take a breath and realize what they can mean to each other...
RagYa- A Tale of Desire
Their story started from an instant dislike from Swara for Lakshya.. She did not want her neighbor Ragini to marry him as she considered him a spoilt brat.He did not want to marry Ragini and so he digged out a secret - SwaRagini being step sisters and exposed it in such a way further degrading himself in Swara's eyes... realizing his mistake he helped Swara and Ragini in uniting their parents going against the wishes of his mighty father thereby earning Swara's friendship and gradually he started falling in love with her but all Swara considered him was her sister's fiance. He was again matched with Ragini because of his cousins wishes but his heart was not into it and decided to break it off resulting into him being on the receiving end of Swara's anger and losing her friendship. But Destiny had different plans it was bringing Swara and Lakshya close through true planning and plotting of Ragini and Sanskaar. She was kidnapped he was blamed she knew of his innocence and so took it upon herself to prove his innocence. The journey of proving him innocent and little pushes from her sister made her fall in love with him and thus started their love story, their journey of love but maybe destiny was against it or maybe because they weren't meant to be her sister and his cousin were hell bent on destroying their bond. She was blamed to be a spoilt modern girl who takes drugs and was not interested in marrying him and he was misguided into believing that all that was true where in the end Lakshya ended up marrying Ragini leaving Swara shattered. She strived hard and with the help of his cousin proved her innocence but had made it very clear she wont ever go back to Lakshya. He tried very hard to win her back but it was too late her destiny had already been linked with someone else's.Later on he realized that she had moved on and let her go and she realized she had never been in love with Lakshya thereby ending the beautiful bond between SwaLak.
"Mohabbat Buri Hai, Buri Ha Mohabbat
Kahe Ja Rahe Hain, Kiye Ja Rahe Hain"
Love and betrayal can make a person do things we can't even envisage. Durgaprasad and Lakshya murdered Sanskaar's beloved, his own family betrayed him...or so he thought.Betrayal haunted Ragini too, who was madly in love with Lakshya.Lakshya fell for her sister Swara.
The common pain, and the desire for vengeance, united Sanskaar and Ragini. They executed many wicked plans to separate Lakshya and Swara. They were successful in creating misunderstanding between the couple.
"Hum dil se bure nahi hai par kabhi kabhi hamari achchayi hamare faeda utha lete hai, humara pyar hi hum e kuch galat karne pe majboor kar deta hai"-Ragini
As fate would have it the pain of innocent Swara affected Sanskaar and he had a change of heart. He rescued her from the evil witch Mohini. Her words made him realize his mistake. He asked Ragini to back off.Ragini, who was obsessed with Lakshya, denied. In a twist of fate, it was now the friendship between Sanskaar and Ragini that was threatened.
Ragini tried to kill Swara and tricked Lakshya to marry her.Sanskaar saved Swara and vowed to help her in every pros and cons of her life. This was his redemption. He ended up falling in love with Swara and married her.Sanskaar and his dupattewali friend Ragini became enemies for life.
There was another twist in the already twisted tale.Lakshya accepted Ragini's love, his love changed her to a better person. When Swara's life was threatened by the evil plans of Kavita, Ragini and Sanskaar joined hands again, this time to save her.
Sanskaar and Ragini thus completed a full circle in their relationship - from friendship to hatred and back to friendship.
When Swara & Ragini became SwaRagini...
The first & foremost defining moment of the show, where both Swara & Ragini knew they are sisters who always felt a soul connection between them & finally they knew, why.Swara was delighted to have found a sister in Ragini and the a family through her which she craved the most throughout her life but it wasn't the same for Ragini, for she couldn't accept the fact that her father loved someone else too apart from her mother & despite her obvious fondness for Swara, she couldn't stop thinking of her as her father's betrayal towards her mother, which was further fueled by Daadi.Alas, the strings of hearts connected are too strong to be broken & it was for the first time when Ragini raised her voice against the mighty Durga Prasad Maheshwari, reprimanding him for trying to hurt her mother, Sharmishtha & her sister, the person who she always felt a soul connection with, Swara.Ragini gave up her love, her dreams, her future which she so fondly had thought of with the only person she ever felt attracted towards, fell deeply in love with, Lakshya only to stand by her new found family. The truly memorable day when Swara & Ragini became SwaRagini...
And then entered the silent storm...
Everything was pleasant again.Swara & Ragini became SwaRagini, Boses & Gadodia's were united again for the sake of their children & Lakshya had become an inseparable part of this small world, becoming Ragini's best friend while Ragini was now madly in love with him.So much so that she couldn't imagine a life without Lakshya by her side in it but he had other plans.Lakshya instead was steadily falling in love with the vibrant & chirpy Swara, the girl who had captured his attention by her cute, happy-go-lucky attitude.Sounds complicated right? It was nothing yet.The storm was still yet to enter and enter he did.The entry of the silent storm in a not so silent manner, who created havoc & entered with the intention to destroy the Maheshwari's.The ones who he believed were the reason for his misery. The fire of revenge burning him from within, he played his moves with finesse, not erring in his vengeful game.He vowed to destroy every single person who would try to intervene in his dangerous plans and came with a promise to go to any lengths to avenge the injustice endowed unfairly upon him, snatching away what he thought to be his most prized possession. The dark horse was here. Sanskaar Maheshwari was here...
Her foray into the dark world...
Ragini came to know Sanskaar's truth.Ragini, who Sanskaar befriended in order to get close to the Gadodias & put his plan to destroy the Maheshwari's into action, all while pretending to be mentally imbalanced. It was easy for him to trick Ragini into becoming his duppatewali dost' owing to Ragini's goodness & innocence and unknowingly, he actually started thinking of her as his friend, caring for her & emphasizing with her over the feeling of lost love. Lucky had chosen Swara over Ragini, a fact that Ragini couldn't handle & landed up in the hospital owing to her shock & grief.Sanskaar who started to genuinely care for Ragini, immediately gave up on his ruse to save her & his true colors were revealed to Ragini.Inspite of her good nature, Ragini was a highly vulnerable person who couldn't yet bear to lose Lakshya & instead of trying to pull her friend Sanskaar out of the dark pits, she herself decided to mark her entry into the dark world, her negative side rearing dominance over her.The two here joined hands, Sanskaar with the intention to destroy Lakshya & Durga Prasad and Ragini to separate Swara & Lakshya so that she could finally have her first love to herself. It was just the beginning...
Kuch toh hai tujhse raabta...
Swara fell in love with Lakshya, despite of her obvious resistance and she definitely couldn't see him suffering for a deed he didn't even commit but was accused of and thus began her mission to prove Lakshya innocent & free him from the MMS scandal by catching hold of the real culprit. She was the only one who always felt that Sanskaar is NOT what he seems & there's a lot more to him. His intentions are a lot more dangerous than he lets on.She almost got to the point of exposing him in front of everyone if not for Sanskaar's quick thinking and while she's leaving the Maheshwari House, Sanskaar looks down at her from his window, declaring her a worthy opponent but promising himself, that he will definitely tackle her. "Aaj tumhara din tha, lekin main tumhein nahi chodunga, Swara" , his words promising menace and revenge but carrying a slight hint of the future to come, a future both couldn't have imagined for themselves in their wildest of dreams.Swara feels that somebody called her, asking everyone around her if they took her name there, getting only a NO from them. Her eyes land up towards HIS window on their own accord & he quickly hid himself, shocked that she could hear him when he hadn't even voiced out her name out aloud. They both had established a raabta between them that only soulmates can have, a connection the whole world & they themselves were unaware of.Destiny surely had her own ways...
His foyer into HER light...
She knew it.She always had this presentiment that there is more to him, something far more dangerous that only she and nobody else could sense. He saved her life from a witch's clutches quite literally, the semblance of humanity that was hidden in the corner of his soul, taking full dominance over him & not letting to put an innocent life at risk for the sake of his revenge, the only thing he lived for all these years. He didn't care that his ruse could finally be up & he could face dire consequences for it, all he could think of was saving her.She accused him, taunted him, asked him the reason for such vile hatred towards his own family that he carried in his heart & most importantly, the reason why he played with her life, her reputation, her sanity and HER.Sanskaar couldn't take her accusations anymore & for the first time in all these years, he opened up his heart to her to tell her the tale of his lost love, his most prized possession at the hands of his own blood, his own family. When he finished recounting his past, he expected to see blazing hatred in her eyes for him but what he saw, shocked him to the core, dousing into his soul within. He saw her looking at him with care, empathy & kindness. The goodness reflecting from her was dousing into him, seeping him completely & listening to her made him see light again. He was now willing to mend his ways now, all set to enter her light... this time forever...
When her own soul killed her...
Ragini couldn't take it anymore. They say desperate times call for desperate measures & Ragini had never been so forlorn before.Sanskaar had backed out from helping her, having finally seen the light & was compliant to bear any punishment bestowed upon him for his deeds, willing to partake her share of the blame as well and lend her a helping hand to bring her back to light but he didn't realize that Ragini was too long gone into the evil abyss now, almost bordering on black. In her desperation to finally have Lakshya to herself, she pushed Swara into the river, mouthing a sorry' before doing it to assuage her guilt to some extent but in return killing Swara from within before she could even breathe her last. This incident gave killed the goodness within the innocent Ragini & a monster was born within her that day who could go to any lengths for Lakshya, her love. And Swara? Well she survived the betrayal physically, not dying but fighting back to live like the warrior she was but emotionally, it left scars on her soul that will never leave her having faced betrayal by a part of her.A part of her was as good as dead & Swara knew well that she'd never be the same again...
When the tables were turned completely...
She finally had what she desired for, what she completely changed for, her reason of existence, Lakshya. Mrs. Ragini Lakshya Maheshwari sounded absolutely musical to her, so much was she lost in her paradise that she didn't feel an ounce of remorse for what she had done to her dear sister, the girl who probably loved Ragini the most in the whole world. She didn't feel any guilt for killing her sister, literally afterall for her, everything was fair in love and war & she madly loved Lakshya, having combated a war with Swara, the unsuspecting one for whom this war didn't even exist.Swara survived but the one relationship that she held closest to herself fell apart due to misunderstandings; her maa-baba's marriage. Swara then decided to take a bold step in order to save her parent's marriage, she decided to enter the Maheshwari Mansion as their wait-for-it daughter in law! Proposing a fake marriage plan to a guilt ridden Sanskaar, who was willing to go to any lengths now to redeem himself & rectify the wrongs done to Swara from his side, reluctantly agreed to this plan of hers & thus entered Swara- Sanskaar into the Maheshwari household as Mrs & Mrs. Sanskaar Maheshwari, earning gobsmacked reactions from everybody present, quite literally. One of the most memorable face-off's ever!
The embarking of an epic love story...
He never imagined it will happen to him again. But it did and with much greater force & intensity this time around. She made it happen. Her goodness, innocence, candor, beauty, purity & everything that defined HER made him fall for her, head over heels. This ruse of acting as a happily married couple in order to divulge Ragini landed them both out of the house and into a cozy tiny tent where they spent some of their happiest moments and became best friends who were almost always together & quite inseparable. She enamored him with her chastity and Sanskaar Maheshwari just couldn't help his heart that fell deeper & deeper in love with her every passing moment they spent together and apart. He had become her confidant, the pillar of support she could rely on and her best friend, she was yet to heal and he knew he could wait for her to reciprocate his feeling all his lifetime and wouldn't mind even if she didn't.He just wanted her to be in his life in any capacity or else he wouldn't survive.Never the one to hide his feelings, he confessed his undying love for her in his drunken stupor one night along with baring the lost of Ragini's crimes that was growing with each passing day.Swara couldn't believe that her best friend had fallen so deep in love with her when she struggled to love herself after what she had become following the betrayals bared on her soul. She firmly rebuffed his feelings for her, even going to the extent of breaking all ties with him but in her heart she knew, the bond they had shaped between them was for a lifetime and beyond. They found love when they least expected it...
Sealed, signed and bonded for eternity...
They were married officially. The night before, he had to fill her head partition with the vermilion of his name in order to continue their ruse of fake marriage & he had done it against her wishes, sending her into a state of shock but with no other option left if they wanted to save her maa-baba's marriage.Ragini's manipulations had then taken them to the altar where they knew that this time, the sindoor couldn't be disavowed, this time all the rituals will be absolutely real & they'll be adhered into the sacred bond of matrimony for a lifetime. They had to do it but in order to save her dear mom's life which was held captive by Ragini. They knew she had fallen into the darkest pits & would actually not hesitate to make good of her threat which scared poor Swara out of her wits. She still tried to avoid doing this marriage and for the last time tried convincing Lakshya of her innocence, who till now had left no stone unturned to malign her and call her characterless at every instance. He again chose to turn a blind eye to her explanations, conveniently believing what was fed to him by his wife & his own biased self but destiny had other plans.Karma had decided to run its own course and bite him back, making him land into the same river where Swara did on her wedding day, making him experience the whole trauma faced by her that day and finally letting him see her truth.Lakshya did come to know the truth but he couldn't stop the marriage that was fated to happen and Swara-Sanskaar were sealed to each other in conjugality.
And her game was finally up...
They say, the life of crimes is short lived. It does end sooner or later and same had happened to Ragini where her crimes had spiraled out of their capacity and she dug a huge hole for Swara where it was her who ultimately land up.Her own love, the one who she did everything for, the one for whom she turned into a certified lunatic, had been the reason of her ugly face coming out in the open for everyone to see along with Swara and Sanskaar. Ragini lost all her relations in a single night and instead of choosing the path of atonement, that scorned woman further coiled into the world of darkness, her aspirations & the feeling of vengeance causing her to turn even more ominous towards the trio. The perilous game was about to begin.
Obliviously happily married...
Swara had landed up in the Maheshwari household again, owing to the manipulations laid by her dear sister which had made her come back to Sanskaar, this time as his legally wedded wife. She loved to live under the garb of just best friends' with him while getting to bask under his unconditional love & warmth which he showered upon her in his own subtle but effective ways that were slowly but steadily & permanently shaping a place in her heart, making her fall in love with him.The Karwachauth festival brought the two together, fasting for each other lives and unknowingly forming the base of their happily ever after.Nobody around could say they were just best friends' and not the quintessential happily married couple. On the other hand, Ragini was further losing her love for whom she had turned more vindictive now & Lakshya was slowly becoming a replica of the one person he claimed to abhor the most in this world, his wife Ragini.Such ironies!
Pot calling the kettle black...
Lakshya had finally become the replica of what he accused Ragini of.He claimed to hate her for his deeds & himself spiraled into the pit of obsession, making him lose his sanity & committing all crimes which he accused others of.He kidnapped, drugged, attempted to murder Ragini and at the same time, obsessed over, mentally harassed & forced Swara, who was now his sister-in-law as far as relationships were concerned.Swara had finally solved the mystery of Ragini's kidnapper and in the process even attempted to strangle Lakshya in order to save Ragini showing her obvious disgust at his shameful actions & looking at him with disdain. As you sow so shall you reap after all...
Deeply, madly, irrevocably she fell for him...
He was hurt. She had doubted him for kidnapping Ragini despite the honesty in his eyes and had dared to hand him over to the cops over her assumptions. The nerve of her to think the HE could actually send her behind the bars & let her get tortured for a crime he committed, is that the trust she has on him and his love? That he would let any harm or pain touch her? He was deeply hurt & rightfully so.After all she had jolted the foundation of their very relationship where he knew that if never love, there will always be this undying trust between them but she had proved him wrong. He couldn't put up the faade of just friends' anymore & asked her to leave him and his life forever.Swara had never felt so empty before. She craved for him desperately, clutching onto the memories spent with him, yearning to listen to his voice, see his face and feel his touch again. She was finally able to see what her heart had been telling her since the longest time ever, that she LOVED him.Deeply, madly & irrevocably. She had found her true love, her soulmate in him, the one she couldn't imagine her life without. She will win him back and they'll finally have their paradise filled with undying love for each other. She had finally come to love him unconditionally and with equal fervor & there was not a chance that she'd let go of him despite his resistance, he did still love her the same after all.Swara Maheshwari was all set to win her man back, to never let him go again.
The old flame re-enters and sets ablaze their paradise...
Kavita returning back in their life was one of the most painful moments, Swara ever witnessed.Seeing Kavita hug her husband like that it felt like somebody pushed her off that river again, maybe even worse and she was drowning with no hope to live again. There was nobody to come to her rescue this time cause the one who did last time, her only rescuer was unknowingly a part of the reason WHY she felt like drowning and giving up on life again. She could see the relief in his eyes at seeing his first love, fine and alive in front of him, the residual guilt of believing himself to partially be the reason of her death washing away from his conscience but Swara had never felt so much hatred for a person she had just met and she felt ashamed for it.She knew he loved only her now just as much as he did and still she knew that they were fated to be separated, for that would be the right thing to abide by and not let poor Kavita suffer because of them whose sole reason to exist till now was Sanskaar & his love. She had never hated her selfless nature this much ever before & cursed herself for rubbing it off on Sanskaar too.Can Kavita die for real please?
Despite all odds, their love will always triumph...
They couldn't keep up this ruse anymore. It was getting more and more difficult to survive without each other. Each passing moment reminded them of each other despite Sanskaar wanting to genuinely move on & Swara vowing to keep away from him.Fate brought them together again, marking her as his once again with the sacred vermilion under the almighty's blessings and even Kavita couldn't deny that they truly were made for each other and should not be separated for they were soulmates in the true sense.Sanskaar finally gave up & Swara too couldn't hold herself back anymore, finally finding bliss with each other and confessing their love in the holy temple.Sanskaar made her feel like a true princess that he fondly crowned her as and Swara couldn't help gushing at the charming prince who she had finally got after a lot of perseverance. They spent their pre-wedding days in complete bliss, away from all miseries in each other's arms and just enjoying under the blissful ambience that they created with their unconditional love. The Gerua and Shaayraana days will always remain legendary in the SwaRagini universe.
Love or Revenge...?
Ragini had crossed all limits with her maalkin drama & there was only so much Lakshya could take before finally attacking back staying true to his aggressive self but this time he decided that he won't let his impulsiveness come into his way of revenge. He would rather play with love, literally, this time around and so Lakshya began to make Ragini believe that he's really fallen in love with her, even going to the extent of consummating their relationship, all for the sake of his revenge and Ragini was overwhelmed at finally receiving what she craved for the most, Lakshya's love. She gave up her modern attire, maalkin mannerisms and vile ways for him, going back to her old loving self that she was before. The biggest shock of her life in the form of Lakshya's betrayal was yet to hit her in the face and Karma was going to play its part yet again! Nobody escapes it, really.
Old bonds reconciled...
Swara was falsely framed and accused for murdering Maasi by the loathsome Kavita, who had turned into Ragini 3.0 and got obsessed with attaining Sanskaar again despite her sacrificial drama just days ago all fueled by Ragini's encouraging words and her inherent obsessive nature.Sanskaar's soul, his Swara was being treated like a criminal despite her innocence which he couldn't bear and on the other hand, Ragini who had finally taken efforts to return back to her old self was scared to lose her sister again and thus, the two teamed up to join their hands and efforts to save their Swara again.
The ups and downs of relationships...
SwaRagini has always been famous for the rishto ke utaar chadhaav in the relationships between its leads & other characters and one such utaar chadhaav was recently witnessed in the show where Swara & Sanskaar after crossing all hurdles in their way, came together to finally be adhered into the sacred bond of matrimony again, with everyone's blessings this time and blissful happy faces of their own that reflected of pure love for each other. While on the other hand, Lakshya had reached the last stride of his revenge and betrayed Ragini on the wedding altar, making her face her old karma again. He took Ragini's signatures on divorce papers by deceit and replaced her with a bride of his own choice, marrying Kavya on the same mandap, much similar to what Ragini had done to Swara once.Karma definitely comes back to you in SwaRagini land and we are hoping for many more such memorable twists (the good entertaining ones of course!) to come our way from our loved show, for many more years to come.Cheers SwaRagians!
