Ranbir-Deepika back together
They were still a real-life couple when they worked together in Bachna Ae Haseeno, but as ex-lovers who had managed to stay friends, Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone did a stellar job in Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani. Thanks to their wonderful chemistry and camaraderie, the film went on to become a monster hit. Then, in Tamasha, Dippy and Ranbir teamed up again and although the box office did not succumb to their charms critics and the film's fans certainly did. And now it seems that the duo is getting back together for yet another film, that is. And it is producer Sajid Nadiadwala who is reuniting Ranbir and Deepika for a cinematic outing.
Incidentally, Sajid was the producer for their Tamasha, and shares a warm rapport with Ranbir, whose producer he also was for Anjaana Anjaani.
A source close to Sajid told us, "Mr Nadiadwala has pitched them some interesting story ideas. Now, it all depends on which script they eventually agree on. Both Ranbir and Deepika have agreed to team up again, but this is just in the initial stages as both actors are busy with prior commitments."
Ranbir has Jagga Jasoos to finish, for which he will by flying to Morocco next month. He then shoots for Ayan Mukerji's film and then Raj Kumar Hirani's Sanjay Dutt biopic.
But Sajid is thinking longterm, and he will announce his project just when the audience starts wondering about when they'll see Ranbir and Dippy team up again, our source says, adding, "This will be Sajid's big announcement for next year".
We'll wait for that!
