Sita sees Ram in the temple and goes in the opposite direction. When Urmila questions her, she replies that she has to fetch some water. Urmila follows Sita, colloids with Lakshman and gets some water spilled on her garments. They both argue and move on. Sita asks Urmila how she got wet, the latter replies that she fell in the lake. Sita senses something and smiles.
Evil snake Tatik looks on and thinks that Mithila will bear Ravana's rage. His magical powers cause a storm and the subjects get amazed. Tatik causes massive waves. Sita senses that something is wrong and asks Urmila to inform the head.
Dasharath, Kaushalya and Sumitra discuss the marriage proposal. Dasharath utters that Kaikeyi will never accept this proposal as she doesn't consider Mithila equal to Ayodhya. But they cannot reject Janak's proposal. Vishvamitra wouldn't have allowed Ram to attend the swayamvar in case of anything wrong. Moreover, there's no basis to reject Janak's proposal. Dasharath continues and utters that if Ram knows Kaikeyi's opinion... Sumitra interrupts and assures him that Ram won't know her opinion. Kaushalya utters that Kaikeyi is proud to be Ram's mother and won't do anything with hidden intentions, he won't understand her love for Ram. Sumitra assures Dasharath that they will convince Kaikeyi. Dasharath thinks that it's important to seek sage Vashistha's permission for this marriage.
Kaushalya and Sumitra move towards Kaikeyi's chamber and take Ram's letter from maid's hands. Kaikeyi tells them that her decision won't change. Kaushalya gives Ram's letter to her. She gets emotional and reads the letter. Ram greets her and says that he doesn't wish to pressurize her as a mother has the right to make a choice. Ram further writes that Sita is her shadow and the people of Mithila love her just like the subjects of Kaikeya love Kaikeyi. Tears roll down Kaikeyi's cheeks. She declares that she accepts the proposal if Ram's happiness lies in it. But it doesn't mean that she will accept Sita after marriage. Moreover, she wants to take care of the marriage preparations. Kaushalya and Sumitra happily agree.
Sunaina asks Mandavi and Shrutkirti about Urmila and Sita but the two have no idea. She utters that they will understand her worries once they become mothers and goes to inform Janak.
Thunderstorms occur while everyone looks in deep amazement. Ram approaches Sita. The latter utters that the sudden change isn't natural. Unseasoned rains never occurred in Mithila. Sita fetches some water and asks Ram to touch it. Ram feels that the water drops are very cold. Sita utters that rainwater shouldn't have been so cold, someone has caused disturbance in the natural process. Ram smiles and appreciates her deep knowledge of nature. Sita . She but Ram gently tells her that he trusts her words. Ram shields Sita and shoots an arrow that freezes the water. He turns around and smiles at Sita. The subjects chant his name. Ram asks them to chant Sita's name instead. Tatik says that there's someone with the ability to tackle his magical powers, hence he will have to wait for the right time to attack.
