King Janak announces Sita's swayamvar and the condition that the person who will string the Shiv dhanush will be eligible to marry Sita.  One of them asks they all know about the power of Shiv dhanush and will it be possible for anyone to string that.  Sunaina is upset hearing this.  King Janak agrees with it and states since they also know that Sita had lifted the Shiv dhanush in her childhood, he believes the one who is going to marry Sita would also be able to lift it and this swayamvar is the process of finding out that person.  The gathered people bless them.

Urmila asks Sita about why she did not inform her father about her feelings.  Sita replies that based on her feelings alone, she cannot take the biggest decision of her life as she is unclear of her feelings and feels she is in a dream and even does not know what Ram thinks of her.  Urmila states if she had informed King Janak, he would have taken her proposal to Ayodhya and Sita asks what if they refuse the proposal and it would be great humiliation to her father and she would not allow such thing to happen, so she chose to go by her father's decision.  She feels she was in her dream world and when her father asked her opinion about arranging for the swayamvar, she got out of her dream and came to reality.  She also feels If her feelings are true, then destiny is going to bring that person again in her life.

Ram and Lakshman are sitting near the river.  Ram is sharpening his arrows and Lakshman calls him from behind.  Ram tells him still it is not time for them to return to Ayodhya.  Lakshman wonders how he guessed what he is going to ask him.  He tells they have killed the rakshas and even rehabilitated the ashram and everything is back to normal, then why is Ram not willing to go back to Ayodhya and does not he remember his parents and brothers.  Ram tells him he remembers them but now they have come with Rishi Vishwamitra and they will not return until Rishi has ordered them to do so.  He says to Lakshman that they are representing their kingdom, parents and have committed to Rishi Vishwamitra that they will obey him and asks Lakshman not to ask Rishi about returning to Ayodhya until Rishi himself asks to.

In Ayodhya, Sumitra has flashbacks of Kekeyi and Dasharath's conversation and also remembers Kekeyi telling then she has to do some other preparations to welcome Bharath.  She thinks she has to speak to Kekeyi.  She meets Kekeyi and tells her that she could find a change in Kekeyi's behavior.  Kekeyi understands but does not agree and asks her what changes she is speaking of and tells her to explain.  Sumitra tells she feels a distance between Kekeyi and others and just wanted to remind Kekeyi that their four children are very fond of each other and would even risk their life for each other and whatever we elders are doing should not affect them.  She leaves then.  Manthara who was also listening to them tries to tell something but Kekeyi stops her and tells she knows Sumitra well.

In Mithila, swayamvar preparations are going on, invitations are being made.  Sita comes there and the sisters tease her.  Sita gives them the tag for tying invitations.  Shruthakirti asks about the places where they are going to send invitation.  Shathanand tells it will be sent to all kingdoms and even Lanka.  All are shocked listening to it.  King Janak states as a rule, they are sending invitations to all, just it.  Shathanand tells them as Ravan is a great Shiv bhakt and had lifted the Kailash mountain itself, it is expected he might be able to lift the Shiv dhanush too.  Chandrabhaga teases Sita asking her opinion and tells her if Sita wishes, they would not send the invitation to Lanka or make sure that the invitation reaches there late so that Ravan does not participate as they all know Sita wishes for a husband who believes in monogamy like her father and Ravan is already married.  Sita is silent and Sunaina asks her to go to Gowri mandir.  The other sisters also want to go but Sunaina stops them asking them to complete all the work.

Sita sings and does arti in Gowri mata mandir.  By the end of the arti, Urmila comes running to her happily and informs her that invitation is being sent to Ayodhya also.  Both are very happy and Sita keeps the arti plate down near Gowri mata idol and flower from Gowri mata's hand falls in her plate.  Sita is happy with it and remembers Ram and her words that if her feelings are true, destiny will bring that person in her life.

On the river side, Vishwamitra tells Ram and Lakshman that it is the right time now.  Lakshman asks whether they are returning to Ayodhya and Rishi says no but to visit Mithila.  He tells them that King Janak has a special dhanush gifted by Lord Shiva to his ancestors and Rishi wishes that they have darshan of that dhanush.  Ram wonders about Shiv dhanush and Sita remembers Ram holding the flower in her hand.

In Ayodhya, Dasharath and all his queens having a convo on Mithila's invitation.  Kekeyi asks him to refuse saying Ram is not available at Ayodhya.  Dasharath is hesitant and says they cannot refuse as they have good relationships with Mithila and had helped them and King Janak had expressed gratitude many times.  He also thinks his sons are very special and great princes for anyone to wish them to have as their son-in-law.  Kekeyi tells that's why she want the greatest of princess to her Ram's wife and feels Mithila is not so great and asks him to reply that their prince is not in the city at this time and so could not attend the swayamvar.  Dasharath thinks of sending Bharath.  Kausalya stops him saying Ram is the eldest and they cannot send the younger one.

Precap:  Shathanand prays to Gauri mata and wishes for his mother's curse relief.  Sita who was there tells him the time has come for that and it will happen.  On the other side, Lakshman tells Ram to not go to the haunted place which is cursed and Ram tells he wants to go there and relieve the curse.
