This is not with regards to any specific fandom.
But why are some fans in general so cocky and dismissive of stars they are not a fan of?
For example, certain SRK-Kajol fans were jumping up and down the threads of BM as to how Dilwale will eat it alive and kill it in the first weekend itself. Now they have to eat their own words given BM's tremendous performance at the box office. It is okay if you genuinely believed so, but those comments are made with an intention to instigate.
I just gave an example, this holds true for all fandoms. There are irritants in a few fandoms that make this forum less enjoyable. Yeah, who doesn't like disagreements and debates. But when it leads to fights, personal attacks, and the same cycle is repeated over and over, it gets ugly and boring. Would it kill to act a bit civil and mature?
