To me his loss was the biggest...and that too when he himself was responsible for it...he still had a long life to pass and that too all alone living with sorrow that was completely overshadowed by guilt...guilt of not understanding his daughter, or deliberately ignoring her wishes/happiness...under the influences of societal stereotypes...
