Salman Khan has been organising the Ganesh Festival in his home in Mumbai for many years now. He has a Hindu mother and a Muslim father, and a Christian stepmom. And so the family believes in all faiths and religions, celebrating Christmas, Eid and Hindu festivals like Ganpati and Diwali. But this year, Salman Khan has a special connection with Lord Ganesha. What could it be?
The Bajrangi Bhaijaan will be a part of Mumbai's most famous Ganesh mandal, the Lalbaugcha Raja located in central Mumbai. How is Salman contributing to it? Here is how.
The opulent sets of Lalbaugcha Raja 2015 are being borrowed from Salman's latest movie Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, reports The Times of India. Art director Nitin Chandrakant Desai, who has been associated with Lalbaugcha Raja for a few years now, is going to carry his sets from Prem Ratan Dhan Payo and place them in Lalbaug, Parel, for 10 days of the Ganesh Festival 2015.
The first look images of the Lalbaugcha Raja 2015 sets and Ganesha idol have gone viral already, even before the festival begins on September 17. The sets instantly reminded us of the Sheesh Mahal from the Hindi cinema classic Mughal-E-Azam that took so much time to build. Desai has taken inspiration from K Asif's movie starring Madhubala and Dilip Kumar and designed for Prem Ratan Dhan Payo.
Salman Khan, we feel, couldn't be happier if he is able to make a connection with the Lord! What do you think?
