the sight of it made her belly curn, Ranjan noticed she didnt clamor for it like a famine struck girl like she was usually every morning

II was already beginning to sweat as her body prepped to retch

"abhi ek min Dad" she whispered and walked a lil too briskly to the bathroom by the kitchen
Ranjan watched her disappearing frame and half smiled
she returned... and refused tea, refused toast

He refused she paid him Rs.100 got 10 walked back to her desk, used a safety pin to dig the fortune out carefully, and tore a slim scrap, wrote
"daddy" a million times, chucked it and finally settled for a multicolored one, she wrote EVERY letter with a different color
Maanvi would do the same when ever she wrote something special
Elevatored down to the 5th floor which was mainly stores... went to teh DHL store and asked them to send the cookie the girl smiled conspiratorially and did her best packaging
At Noonish on Monday she shipped the cookie to him
Tried her best to work for 7 hours, only drinking and throwing up water
Returned at 7 ish... and slept until midnight
Khichri, and lassi and other "stomach bug" food awaited her
She didnt touch anything she brought a dry toast up and ate half
Ranjan would check on her Tuesday morning and find a half eaten dry toast on the night stand

Tuesday was the same drill, avoiding Ranjan all morning, showing up at work with no energy
Returning at 4 PM and sleeping until midnight, eating a 3 crackers/ salted dry biscuits at midnight and then throwing it all up
While brushing her teeth she would inhale Colgate and find the smell calming
She took the tube to her nightstand and inhaled it until falling asleep again
He would get home around 9:30 AM on Wednesday from the airport😳
Find her curled up fast asleep on his side of the bed holding the Colgate tube in her hand
"Hot date in ur dreams?" he mocked as she stirred (is that why u are holding a toothpaste? so u can brush?)
She let it drop blushing furiously, sitting up
"RAKSHASAN!" she hissed at his misplaced sense of humor, raining punches, escaping his "grab"
"THANKS!!!!" he whispered claiming her lips in a moist kiss, gently smothering her...
