Political wings voice grievance over Salman Khan's Bajrangi Bhaijaan

By Bollywood Hungama News Network, Jul 4, 2015 - 11:24 hrs IST

Films and filmmakers have always been at the receiving end when it comes to protests and rallies stemming from some unconventional movie titled or stories. The latest to be mired in a similar rut is the much talked about and highly anticipated Salman Khan film, Bajrangi Bhaijaan. In fact we hear that a group of right-wing Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Bajrang Dal protested against Salman Khan's upcoming Eid release.

Raising slogans, the group demanded that the Salman Khan film's title be changed as it hurts Hindu sentiments. If that wasn't enough, the groups have also threatened to launch a massive protest and stop the screening of the film unless the movie's title is changed.

Interestingly, while the makers of the film hosted an event yesterday evening releasing yet another track from the movie, the protests by the political groups comes after a PIL had been filed by a local from UP that demands 'Bhaijaan' be removed from the title as well as the deletion of objectionable scenes.

As for the film, Bajrangi Bhaijaan that is produced by Salman Khan in association with Eros International and is directed by Kabir Khan also features Kareena Kapoor alongside Salman Khan. Slated for release this Eid on July 15, the film will see the actor playing a Bajrang Bali devotee who takes on the task of returning a little girl to her family in Pakistan.

In India, you can't please these kind of ppl with anything... Wish Kabir could have avoided Bajrangi connection from film, thr was no need 2 bring that specific Bajrang Bali bhakt character, while it could have been anything else, when they r preaching of Amazing Story, why these things, which are easily predictable as they will object :(((

It got passed with a UA certificate from censor board today so the controversy shouldn't affect the film.

Nothing will happen . These all  are simply nautankis and nothing else . Being a Hindu I don't have any problem with title , This is just to grab some cheap publicity .

These are publicity gimmics created by the producers. Same thing happened at the time of P.K but it didn't affect its business infact it gave a boost to it..

what mockery from the trailer itself i can see at least it glorify such fanatic outfits. it properly show their agitation in front of  Pakistan embassy , And a person enter into pakistan and confront with their security agency with hanuman chalisa. indeed they should be happy. If anything else then in the term of these fanatic outfit in their own term its ghar vapsi so there is no need for agitation.
By the way these outfits can only do all these tamasha against movie, against other religion etc. which are soft target.

But these type of controversies sometimes work i favour e.g with PK, sometimes i wonder that producers/director actually want this to happen hence they give it a controversial angle knowing full well that it will create controversy.
Regarding these religious morons, do they think that releasing a bajrangi film in ramadan/eid will be an insult to hindus ad their religion ðŸ˜• too much of insecurity and intolerance .

Why is it nautanki?? What gives you the right on their behalf to say that they should not be offended?? Have you never seen people getting offended for religious things?? As long as they are not doing anything illegal...no one else should have the right to decide for them whether they should be offended or not...please talk about yourself only...everyone's tolerance level for religion is different...
