Khalid searches for Kabir in his cabin but is unable to find him and gets annoyed. He shows his displeasure at Malvika who calls Ananya's residence to ask if Kabir is there but she comes to know he isn't.
Manav sees Trisha and Richa tensed and and upon asking them, comes to know that Kabir hasn't come yet and within few minutes, his 9 pm segment would start. Parallely, Kabir is seen getting ready. He ignores their guests for that day's show and walks straight ahead to the news room. Malvika briefs him about the interview and he nods.
Kabir starts his segment by inviting Mahajan and his girlfriend Jyothi in and starts interviewing them. During the interview, he mistakenly calls Jyothi as Ananya. Malvika and Ronnie are shocked to hear this but Kabir, unaware ploughs on and ends the segment on a positive note and leaves. Khalid gets irked seeing Kabir's slip.
Manav tries to make a scene by remarking that that Kabir was drunk during his news reading. He tries to instigate the others but they aren't fooled. He asks Ronnie to play the footage. Ronnie ends up playing the edited footage. Manav is shocked and leaves angrily. Malvika asks Ronnie why he bothered to do this to which Ronnie replies that this isn't their first time covering someone's mistake and he felt that Kabir should be given a chance.
Afterwards, Ronnie reaches Ananya's house and tries to console her mother. He suggests that if they leave a lighted lamp in the sky, it would reach their loved ones. Ananya is happy with his suggestion and remarks sadly that all those years they felt her father's presence but now after knowing he is no more, they are missing him. She adds that they should send him a message that they are happy. Ananya's mom agrees. Kabir reaches there just then and watches from his car silently. He sees Ananya and her family along with Ronnie leaving the lighted lamp into the night sky. After staring at them wistfully,he leaves.
An inebriated Kabir while driving recalls Ronnie expressing his love for Ananya and the scene after when he hugs her. Suddenly,he rams his car into a tree and meets with an accident.
Precap: Ananya tells Richa that she loves Kabir. She goes to his hospital room and is dejected on seeing Taruni already present beside him and laughing over something.
