Just wondering what or if there is anything symbolic in the slippers we've seen in recent episodes.

Ahil gives back  Sanam the slippers he took from her for his wife. 

And S2's mom gives her witch daughter a pair of slippers.Both left foot,i dn't know.

Is there any significance in the two incidents involving slippers?
