Kyra Dutt and the rest of Madhur Bhandarkar's Calendar Girls REVEALED!

Kyra Dutt is already in the news for becoming the first actress to sign up for Ekta Kapoor's XXX with the notorious 'nudity' clause, now she's all set to scorch the screen with Madhur Bhandarkar's Calendar Girls. 

Kyra, who herself is a calendar girl and ramp model, will be joining Akanksha Puri, Ruhi Singh, Avni Modi and Satarupa Pyne in the lead in the film which chronicles the life of five struggling models. However, inspite of being the only girl in the cast with the previous experience for the role, she has no clue what the climax of the film has in store for her character as none of them have been handed the full script yet.  

"We are five girls chasing the common dream of becoming a supermodel. And we represent different parts of the country, both onscreen and off-screen," says Kyra.

Madhur Bhandarkar is known for his hard-hitting films which take from real experiences and get weaved into a single story. But more importantly, each feature has strong women characters. Kyra confirms that this film too is on the same lines, being compleye women-oriented with no male lead. Additionally, she states that the film takes inspiration from the real lives of models who have appeared in the annual Kingfisher calendar. In fact, a character based on Vijay Mallya is slated for an important appearance.
