A home for Dhanush in Mumbai?

He may not be a superstar yet in Bollywood, but that has not stopped Tamil star Dhanush from acquiring a residential property in the commercial capital of the country. We have learnt that Dhanush is on the lookout for a high-end apartment in one of the posh localities in Mumbai and ace director-choreographer Prabhu Deva is apparently helping him in finding an ideal home.
The actor is on a roll with two back-to-back hits in Tamil - Velai Illa Pattathari and Anegan. His second Hindi movie, Shamithab, unlike his debut movie Raanjhana, received mixed response. Nevertheless, Dhanush will shortly sign his third Bollywood project to be directed by Umesh Shukla of Oh My God! fame. The details of the project have not been revealed so far. "Dhanush and Umesh have discussed about a potential Hindi project in the coming days. But nothing is confirmed.
Nevertheless, Dhanush feels the need for a permanent residence in Mumbai," a source close to the actor told Mirror.
Umesh is currently busy shooting for his Hindi project All is Well. He has not signed or announced his next project though his other project 102 Not Out has to be completed on a priority basis. A common friend is in the loop for what could be a comedy project involving Umesh and Dhanush.
"It is too early to speculate on the project. There have been two rounds of meetings. Umesh is yet to finalise the script or narrate the same to Dhanush," a source close to the development told Mirror.
At present, Dhanush stays at star hotels during shooting for Hindi movies or whenever he is in Mumbai.
"Besides, he has a large network of friends in Mumbai. He is not comfortable inviting them to the hotel every time he is in Mumbai. He feels the need for a private space and an apartment is on the cards," the source added.
