Saurabh Tewari's show on Sony Entertainment Television titled Do Deewane Ek Shehar Main with Mohit Sehgal and Roshni Sahuta as leads has got scrapped. However, this does not demoralize the producer from working out newer options for most of the cast of his Sony show.

Yes, producer Saurabh Tewari and the entire team of Do Deewane were in deep sorrow after their show got scrapped post the shoot of six episodes. But they have now moved on...

In fact, we hear that Tewari wants to cast some of the actors of his Sony show for his upcoming project on Star Plus, titled Yeh Ishq Nahin Asaan.

And he has successfully done just that!!

As per reliable sources, "Roshni Sahuta who was to be the female lead opposite Mohit in the Sony project will now play the parallel lead in the Star Plus show. Also, seasoned actress Ashlesha Sawant who was to play elder sister to Mohit in the other show, has been roped in for the Star show for a meaty role."

When contacted, Ashlesha told us, "Yes, it is very unfortunate that the Sony show could not happen. It was a very nice concept, and it is a loss to all in the team. However, I feel that the show was not meant to be. Now I am in talking terms for the Star show, but I will not want to comment on anything till the show sees clarity."

We could not get through to Roshni for a confirmation.

We also hear that Tewari is in talks with Mohit Sehgal too, for a meaty and substantial role in the Star show. However, there is no clarity on it at the moment.

We tried buzzing Producer Saurabh Tewari, but he was not reachable.

As reported earlier by Tellychakkar.com, Yeh Ishq Nahi Asaan will have model turned actor Asmita Sood in the lead role. Pearl V. Puri will play the male protagonist. Nivedita Saraf, Payal Nair and Indresh Malik are already on board for integral roles.
