Actress Sukirti Kandpal, who was the first celebrity to be evicted in the ongoing season of Bigg Boss, has bagged an upcoming TV show.

She will be seen opposite Aamir Ali, who will play a shrewd news anchor. Apparently, the show is based on the novel Those Pricey Thakur Girls.

Says a source associated with the show, "The story, revolving around five sisters, will highlight the life of the protagonist, played by Sukirti (Debjani in the novel). Circumstances compel her to join Aamir's team."

The actress didn't revert to our text message.

A lot of producers, be it on the small or big screen, are cashing on concepts which are based or influenced by novels. Going with the trend, Cinevistaas Ltd, the makers of hit shows like Dill Mill Gayye, Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai and Ek Hasina Thi are churning out a concept based on a renowned novel. A source from the industry informed that Cinevistaas is working on a show which is

based on Anuja Chauhan's novel Those Pricey Thakur Girls. Set in New Delhi, Those Pricey Thakur Girls is a simple love story with some complications and many eccentric characters. Though the channel is not yet decided, the makers are planning to air it on Zee TV.

"The production house is at its pre production 😉level and the set will be at Naigaon. However, things are yet on the initial stages and will go on the floors soon by end of this year," adds a source.

We all remember Sukirti Kandpal's short stay at the ongoing season of Bigg Boss. Where, on one hand, she had tiffs with popular contestant Gautam Gulati, on the other, she was seen getting up close and personal with Upen Patel. The actress's journey in the show was short and she is set to embark on a new one with none other than Aamir Ali.The actress has been roped in to star opposite Sanjeeda Sheikh's hubby in a TV show which is based on the popular novel Those Pricey Thakur Girls. The show will feature Sukirti as the protagonist and Aamir as a news anchor. "The story revolving around five sisters, will highlight the life of the protagonist, played by Sukirti (Debjani, in the novel) Circumstances compel her to join Aamir's team."

Sukirti earned fame through her roles in Dill Mill Gaye and Pyaar Kii Yeh Ek Kahaani. She was the first contestant to get eliminated from the Bigg Boss house. Well they say the controversial house surely helps in shaping up careers, and looks like Sukirti's is next on the list!

After watching his antics as funny cop Bajrang Pandey in FIR, Aamir Ali will play a rather serious character in his next outing. He will play a news anchor in a show for an upcoming Hindi GEC.

This will be a complete contrast to his previous character of a carefree and funny cop. Says a source associated with the show, "The show is about four to five sisters, where the protagonist joins Aamir's team. Aamir will play a shrewd news anchor, who'll go to any extent to break news. He will be shown as a confident man, who can charm anyone." Apparently, the show is based on the novel, Those Pricey Thakur Girls by Anuja Chauhan. The cast is expected to start shooting next week. Aamir, however, did not to revert to our messages about the show.
