The CVs have really gone to town with this character of Mani. His actions sometimes seem forced and illogical. For someone who claims to be Ishita's best friend he has very little understanding of her feelings for her husband and his family. He seems to assume the worst of her husband and her family when he could clearly see that she is happy to be a part of Bhalla family and more than fine being wife of Raman who is not perfect yet values his family and puts every single relationship above himself. Being her friend he should have known that she is someone with strong family values and that is also the trait that she sees in Raman and adores him for who he is. I loved the fact that Ishita put him in place when he accused Raman's kids and his past being the reason for Ishita's troubles. Her response that she is married to him and is happy facing the ups and downs of his life with him by his side was perfect. On a different occasion, he even told Raman that he was upset that Ishita married him a divorcee of all people who had so much baggage from his previous marriage. Mani came to India from Turkey almost two months ago and yet he could n't see who Raman really is. He is a man of values and despite being a successful CEO he never lets that get to his head. He has always been the person who stands up for what is right and does not hesitate to call them out even if they are his family members. He is influential yet useful to others so that they may benefit from him. When I look at Mani, he is no doubt a man of success but is a braggart who boasts his achievement every opportunity he gets while him being so very judgemental is going to cost him Ishita's frienship. Ishita knows that Raman is a person of value who silently knows of his achievements and prospers others through them. It's high time that Mani realizes that as well.
What really irked me the most was Mani judging Raman's actions yet again when he was being the absolutely adorable supportive husband trying to calm his wife who was in a total shock after going through the worst nightmare of her life. He was so rattled by her disheveled state that he was beating the daylights out of the moron who tried to misbehave with her. Mani's monologue that he was glad that Raman did not get upset with Ishita was totally uncalled for. Has he not seen the interactions between Raman and Ishita? Is he living under a rock to not notice how they feel for each other when she publicly held her husband's hand and danced with him just so he doesn't feel embarassed in front of everyone when Adi ditched him. Why would he even say that? What is Ishita's fault in this whole situation that Raman would get mad at her? He really needs to get out of his illusion that she is living a dreadful life and stop passing judegments on each and every action of Raman. If he tries to belittle Raman one more time he really will face Ishita's wrath for sure. Raman is not a perfect husband, he has his own flaws but he is perfect for Ishita who has her own flaws. They both have a scarred past which they are trying hard to overcome and move on with their life where they value each other more than he can think of and gives credit for.
