The latest action in the Bigg Boss 8 house gripped viewers in the UK last night, beating all other shows including fictions on market leader Star Plus.
According to exclusive data obtained by BizAsia, Bigg Boss 8 attracted a whopping 125,100 viewers at 21:00 - peaking at 152,700 viewers. It was easily the most watched show on UK Asian telly last night. Beintehaa' benefited from the ratings surge of Bigg Boss 8 with 64,700 viewers tuning in at 22:00. Shastri Sisters' at 20:30 pulled in 62,700 viewers - beating Nisha Aur Uske Cousins' at the same time. The Star Plus drama could only manage 57,300 viewers.
The top show on Star Plus was Diya Aur Baati Hum' with 119,100 viewers, followed by Iss Pyar Ko Kya Naam Doon - Ek Baar Phir' with 112,700 viewers and Ek Hasina Thi' in third with 112,300 viewers at 20:00.
On Star Life Ok, Laut Aao Trisha' was top with 30,500 viewers at 21:00, followed by new fiction Ajeeb Dastaan Hai Yeh' with 22,500 viewers at 21:30 and Comedy Classes' at 22:00 in a 90-minute slot at 22:00 grabbed 11,000 viewers.
On Rishtey, Meri Aashiqui' was top with 45,100 viewers, followed by Parichay' with 44,400 viewers and Shaitaan - A Criminal Mind' brought in 33,200 viewers at 21:30.
On Hum TV Europe, Kankar' was top with 78,200 viewers, followed by Shanaakht' at 20:00 with 34,600 viewers
Colors came close to overtaking Star Plus in the UK Asian TV ratings last night, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsia.
The popular reality show Bigg Boss 8 has no doubt helped Colors in boost the profile of the channel with 94,600 viewers tuning in at 21:00. It peaked to 175,100 viewers. It beat Diya Aur Baati Hum' (57,000) and Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai' (39,200 viewers) on Star Plus. Colors' other shows BeIntehaa' attracted 56,100 viewers and Shastri Sisters' at 20:30 pulled in 51,500 viewers.
