They might be real.we don't know yet.There were reports after Tsunami of a mermaid skeleton to be found.There is even footage on YouTube of mermaids .But i feel,its all fake at least as of now.I just feel they are based more on imagination.People feel that mermaids are half human half fish but in reality,they might be just plant eating aquatic mammals ..and not how people imagine them as!
