After churning out a successful show like Diya Aur Baati Hum on Star Plus, producers Shashi-Sumeet Mittal are now geared up to produce another show for the same channel.


TOI has been constantly reporting about the new show and the latest we hear is that veteran actor Akhilendra Mishra who played the role of a naxalite in Diya Aur Baati Hum has been roped in for their new show.


Sources inform that Akhilendra will be seen playing the role of the male lead's father. Apart from Akhilendra, Amita Khopar last seen in Sasural Simar Ka has also been finalised to play Akhilendra's wife.


When contacted, Akhilendra and Amita Khopar remained unavailable for comment.
