His first wife is his first cousin sister(like Ruqaiah was to Akbar) Bega Begum also known as Haji Begum. She was empress of mughal empire at age of 19 when Humayun became emperor at 22. She was his chief consort till his death. Humayun's first son Al-Aman was born in 1528 to her but died as a small infant. She was taken prisoner by Sher Shah Suri and returned back with honour to Humayun by a one Khwas Khan not Todarmal. During when she was captured along with other begums her daughter Aqiqah who was 8 years old in 1539(born 1530) was never returned. She is presumed to have been abused by sher shah suri forces and killed and her body never returned to her father. Humayun regretted all life for losing his daughter and searched her extensively but she was not found and he always regretted getting her to chausa, bengal. He told Hindal in grief its better i had killed her in my own hands than allow her to fall in enemy hands. Her death broke his will to fight as he loved her a lot. This incident took place on 26th June 1539. After this incident Bega Begum left worldly ways and spent her time in service of God.

Todarmal also did not go to leave Bega and Shaad to Humayun, it was Khwas Khan who left them back with Humayun
Sher Shah Suri was a soldier in Babar's army raised to be commander under Humayun then turned independent ruler and attacked Humayun with cohort support from Humayun's step brothers
In real history neither chand begum came back nor any shenaz urf nigar existed nor mah chu chuk attacked akbar. It was mirza hakim who attacked punjab but was defeated. Abul Mali killed mah chu chuk when Hakim was a 10 year old boy and wanted to kill him. Then
Mirza Sulaiman(bakshi bano husband) and his father attacked abul mali forces captured and hanged him and released mirza hakim. Hakim and Akbar had intense sibling rivalry and not good goody brothers like shown in serial. Humayun had made Mirza hakim incharge of Kabul as a kid only. Akbar was 11 years elder to hakim. So as per history now Akbar is 21 years and Mirza should be 10 year old boy and Mah chu chuk and Abul Mali alreaddy dead.
Like Shahbaz Khan (who plays Bairam Khan) in MP serial said these serials are 80% fiction 20% history. So please read history books to know real history not serials
