Ishita's sudden accent changes!

Guys, have any of you noticed that every now and then Ishita changes her accent to sound like a stereotypical "south indian" ...Today when she was talking about the different south indian languages...I quite hated her sudden accent change to mimic a south indian way of talking ..In general, her hindi is awesome ..her original English accent is alright but when it strikes her that she's emulating a south indian character, she tries to throw in a so called stereotyped tamil accent which I kind of detest!! ..At least Amma is consistent with her bad hindi or English accent ...but Ishita turns that accent on and off at her will ..which kind of seems to irritate me! ..

Ishita's tamil accent was good yesterday . She pronounced the l in "Tamil " correctly as zh . Many cant pronounce that one rightly !

I think the sudden changes in accent shows how good DT is when acting not everyone can have the south indian accent said soo well
And the accent is to emphasize on the fact that she is south indian
U know when asians stay for a long time in abroad like america and places as such they tend to adopt to the accent but when they r talking about their own country back home the accent changes automatically
Its part of remembering ur home town and the way the natives speak there
So DT speaking like that was truly perfect for me and it adds to the reality accept too :D

We don't have the data that can prove that she's born and brought up outside of Delhi. So, if she hasn't ever lived in the South she can only grasp the accent from her family which is culturally insufficient to make her sound entirely South Indian. 😛 Divyanka Tripathi sounds South Indian occasionally, I agree. But the dialogues are always fitting to the situation.

for once appreciate the hard work divz and nainaji are putting in portraying the tamil origin and speaking tamil is not easy that to northy ppl like divz and nainaji .

Actually I liked that she spoke the Tamil words in that accent. Also I didn't find it unnatural. I do it myself If I am talking in a mixed language for example wich is mainly in English with Hindi or Gujarati words then my accet naturaly/automaticall changes for those word ins Hindi/Gujarati.My accent also changes if I am speaking English with an Indian person verse a Canadian person. If I am in England I pick up an english accent.

I am a south indian born and brought up in Delhi and my accent also switches off and on. Believe it or not when I am taking the calls with US People, many have commented that mine automatically switches to american accent and I am not even aware of it. So I don't see anything wrong if one person's accent is switching back and forth and it is very natural.

I donno Tamil. But have watched some Tamil films in Tamil language. Her way of talking in SU language was perfect. And, she is an educated girl, has to communicate with lots of people. She can't talk in Tamil always. So, it's natural that most of the times, she will talk in Hindi. Sometimes, by birth cultural accent will come in her talks...that's natural.

I do agree that sometimes she goes slightly overboard with the south indian accent but yesterday's episode was fine. I remember the one episode where she says "these Punjabis" while in the room alone cribbing about Raman was slightly exaggerated South Indian accent.
