Poem || My Little Kid ||

I listen to the screeching engines

I listen to the deafening horns.

But neither do I care nor

do I share, my life has never been fair!

I sit there quietly all along the day

And I know none had ever asked me to stay

I feel him on my motherly lap,

Snoring so cutely during his nap.

Some of the people stare at me

As if I would be better as a tree

I keep him safely in my arms

The mad ones tell me they all are dreams

They quietly tell me He's gone.'

And I glare at them like a stone

I can see his cheeky smile

And I know I am never fragile

Some stare at me with pity eyes

Some throw me food with their kindest hearts

I eat and breathe, for my kid

Without him, I like to be dead.

A pit was dug, for they called it a grave

It was the last thing he could ever have

I cried and mourned and wailed for a while

And there he was to make me smile

I kiss him on his creamy cheeks

Love is all I see in his eyes

The mad ones still whisper at me

And I cuddle him more close to me

Neither do I care nor

Hey everyone! I am new in this forum and this is my first post. I have written many poems but this is special cuase this is the first rhyming poem I have written. I am so proud of myself. 😆
