Having recently changed its positioning to a light entertainment channel, Big Magic is enhancing its programming to suit the overall theme of the channel. Taking a step forward in that direction, it has launched a sitcom Ajab Gajab Ghar Jamai'. Ajab Gajab Ghar Jamai' will showcase the relationship between a Nani-Saas' and three generations of Jamaais. It will launch on 12 May, airing at 9:30 pm on weekdays. Produced by Red Dot Productions, it will feature popular faces like Himani Shivpuri and Sumit Vats in the lead roles. The show presents three generations of the unusual Shaktishaali family where they follow a unique tradition of bringing home a son-in-law instead of sending the daughter to her sasuraal'. Reliance Broadcast Network CEO Tarun Katial said, "The new show is in keeping with our endeavour to offer audiences content in the light entertainment and comedy space. This fun light-hearted drama further enhances our programming offering and we are certain it will be a great value proposition to viewers and advertisers alike." The channel now aims to air a mix of shows ranging from fun relationship dramas, rom-coms, hilarious comedy sitcoms, comedy movies and the recently launched historical comedy Har Mushkil ka Hal Akbar Birbal'. The launch of the show is supported by a multi-media campaign across television, radio, print, digital, out of home and on ground to ensure deeper reach across markets.
