Bhishma ordered Pandavas to kill them those who stood against adharma and fight. There is not other way to stop this fight. Yudhisthira told Bishma that all the kings will join into this fight and many wives will get widowed and many children orphan. Lives will be lost and everything will be soon finished. Bhishma told them that the war is inevitable like Krishna said. He also said he would fight for Hastinapur but his blessings will be with them and finally he ordered them to start making their team by speaking to those kings those who will be part of this war. Pandavas took his blessings and hugged him.
Duyodhona along with his brothers and Sakuni asked why Bhishma did not fight with the Pandavas who attacked Hastinapur. He told him that he needs to guard duryodhana in the war and which Bhishma promised him to obey till he survives in the war but after his death Duryodhana needs to face the consequences of his own Karma. He also told them that Pandavas has the key to Bhishma's death and when Drupad's daughter Shirkhandi comes in front of him, he will have to leave his weapons. He warned them that Pandavas are gonna attack very soon and very soon they will have to deal with this war. When Sakuni asked whether it was Bhishma who gave them the idea of the war, he said it was their right and he only approved. Sakuni blamed Bhishma for destroying Hastinapur.
Bhishma thought of his mother Ganga and recapitulated his moments with her when he came to meet her for the last time and then never met her. He was ashamed of himself how in the dyut shabha he did not fail to insult her by being a part of adharma. He called her to ask how he should redeem for his sins. His mother appeared and told her that today all his sins are redeem. He told her that he could have stopped this maha yudh but he did not. He could have killed pandavas today and took the whole thing on him and could have saved so many lives and Duryodhana. He also told his mother that Duyodhana was not a right king because he thought the kingdom and kingship is a commodity not a responsibility and that way in future hastinapur people can only suffer due to increment of adharma. His mother told him not to think twice about his decision and what he did was a right thing to do to save his own people. She ordered him to fight and wait for his moksh.
Arjuna announced that war was the only thing that can happen now. It was Duryodhana who was taking his men to go through his. Yudhisthira suggested that they should leave the kingdom and go to jungle to spend the rest of their lives and then Bhima reminded him how the Kauravas treated Draupadi and that they should take revenge of that. Yudhisthira's concerned was Guru Drona and Bhima who were their own. How could they fight. Draupadi reminded them that the idea of the war of his and they cannot step back from his order. She also reminded them that how painful it was for him to order this. She told them that he wanted mukti not yudh. She further asked them to speak to Krishna if they have any doubts on the war and he would be at their side in the war.
