It is a known fact that damaad speaks better Tamil than the whole clan of Iyers but i have a doubt regarding Ishita's hindi...
When she speaks to Raman, it is always a mix of "Aap" and "Tum"... Has that been deliberately done to show Ishu's lack of command over the language or is it so that Ishu is still confused with whether to respect him or not???

I find it funny if they want to show that Ishu is weak in conversing in Hindi since she has been born and brought up in Delhi. Still, i am curious...

well i think it's more that Ishu is confused n doesn't know how to call his hubby...as "tum" is something too familiar n at the moment they are so close to each other so she calls him "aap"...
but it s that it's confusing for her too as Raman changes his behaviour in each second...😆

I somehow like her way of addressing Raman... As you say, maybe it depends on Raman's behaviour and mood swings...

From what angle does she look weak in Hindi to you?
It was always a known fact that her Hindi is perfect... Being born n brought up in Delhi
Calling Raman aap/Tum isnt exactly our concern ;P but when shes angry with him... She usually calls him tum... When everythings normal, or when shes being nice to him, or shes veryyy emotional, she says aap ;)

Id personally prefer aap, if theyd like to permanently stick with one, however, i dont mind her using both like now... A lot of people do that in normal convos, including me.

As someone from Delhi though not living there now...Ishita speaks perfect Hindi...just like someone born and brought up in Delhi would speak...! So I think Divyanka is right on the mark.
In Hindi the tum is how much familar you are with a person and aap show of respect..!!
As we know thorugh our show Ishita has to still have good civil conversations with Raman... and be familar with him in order to address him as tum all the time 😳 😳...she says aap to him many times...!! 😊 though I love the way she calls him by his name many times- Raman...it sounds so good coming from her..!! 😳 😳

In one of her interviews, she said that. Her fluency is too good for her character as Tamilian. In another interview, she said that she's born and brought up in Delhi. Hence, this confusion...

This way of addressing is actually nice... Still, i wanted to know if it is deliberately done or if it is a indication of mood swings of RKB.

Hmm... I dont think its deliberate... But i dont think RKB's mood swings play any role here either. Its more like ishitas mood... And how happy/sad/angry/mild she is...
