So is Shlok a villain, saviour or a lover to Astha is the big question.I for one has to say shlok has to be the villain to Astha to save her because he loves her.
He has to save her from astha herself as she has a tendency to go into the thick of things without giving a thought to her safety or consequences,from some evil intentions around her which she has no idea about,and mainly because, shlok, himself loves her and so has no option at all and because his love itself could be harmful to her for obvious reasons like NA, Anjali or someone shlok is suspecting but has no idea about (maybe some harm was done to swati by someone).
At first encounter itself shlok felt an attraction for astha even though he didn't like her for lying and also afterwards because she reminded him of swati with her words and then her insults to him without knowing anything about him, irritated him a lot.But the final straw was when shlok and his Baba and family were insulted in front of the whole media and their office was wrecked with their reputation, for which he thought astha was responsible and when he decided to teach her a lesson. Shlok is a person who gives' tit for tat' in war or love. I think NA was also aware of shlok's plan and approved of it to trap astha into marriage.
So shlok got astha a job with him where astha had to interact with him daily and his idea was somehow use that closeness to wreck her reputation but in the process he himself fell in love with her which he realised in kolhapur when Astha went missing for sometime and he went completely berserk and out of his mind with worry.He even went to the extent of thinking of Astha as his wife and her leaving him reminded him of swati rejecting him while leaving,. It showed that astha had already became so important to him that he could not even bear her absence away from him and his slap to Astha indicated his care,concern and especially worry for her.When after shouting at her and when he came to his senses(here Avi 's emoting was so good that it was so clear)was when he realised that he loved astha and he couldn't do anything about it.Shlok is an experienced man both in worldly ways as well as in love and hurt so he definitely knew what he was feeling without a doubt.
Now, it is made sure of his feelings when this time when he speaks to the sungod he says again challengingly'Don't think you have won, because this time I am coming with full awareness and knowing what I am doing and this time I will win', the most important diolouge of the serial.Here meaning shlok's acceptance of his feelings for Astha but this time he meant to not only win his love but also marry her and make astha his wife at any cost but also to completely secure astha and their future too.(and not fail like last time from the problems and issues like rules and restrictions and also some MU s and danger that swati faced,I think).Not only these, there seems to be a issue with regarding the property which is connected to shlok and could create problems to whoever is close to him
So this time shlok had to tread the way very carefully and cautiously as he himself did not know somethings and astha herself is his main problem because of her naivety, her directness,her immaturity in understanding certain important personal issues that she opens publicly which could be used against her and ashlok's relationship.Her tendency to take people on face value and not see their real or evil intentions behind their faces.Astha even stopped listening to shlok after marriage and started to listen to anjali and following all the Agni rules which shlok didnt like because (swati also must have had some issues regarding the rules as well as property issues too and maybe like wanting to live separately and maybe these created a rift btw them to the extent that swati left and met with danger and shlok couldn't do anything about it and thats why his guilty conscious is not allowing him to move forward in life) shlok didn't want astha also to face all these problems and didn't want anything to come between them especially property and business that's why he got andry on adtha for accepting the 50% partnership.
Shlok's fiasco from the suhaagraat that he hates astha and his hard and harsh behaviour with her is all a part of him securing astha from harm and the dangerous game which is going on which we are all still in the dark and that's why confusing us into thinking that shlok hates astha when he actually loves her a lot.He is so cautious that he is also keeping adtha in dark as she might not understand and might give away the game to enemies.I think he's playing baba by not showing love to astha and is in turn making baba himself secure astha as his wife so NA will think shlok is with astha for baba's sake so will not harm her.
A very imp.diolouge of his to Astha is 'sambalo apne apko, mein har wakt nahi rahonga sambal nekeliye',even today shlok said the diolouge when he threw the divorce paper away.The thing is astha is very strong in her convictions and beliefs and when time comes she can fight for them against anybody but she has become blind in Shlok's love that she is completely depending on him on everything and everytime there's a problem shlok is the one she is looking to solve the problem and shlok did save her manytimes but he also wants her to use her brains and solve the problems herself.Shlok wants and needs astha strong because only then he will be able to solve many issues revolving around him.That's why he is not giving out his feelings for adtha in the open unless adtha completely understands him and his problems and willing to follow him unquestionably.Only when shlok is sure about Astha will he reveal his love for her.
Now it looks with astha's acceptance and declaration of love for him completely, even though still a little bit immature and her following his moves slowly shlok will slowly unmask himself as time goes. Shlok's becoming aware of attempts on adtha are going to make him come to a decition fast.In away shlok is deliberately being a villian to Astha to save her as he is her saviour and lover too.
I am adding this as I have written in my previous posts, even though shlok loves astha he was also angry on her, and took out his past anger on Astha because he was insecure and scared that she might leave him too.He needs lots of assurance from her to go forward in their relationship. Shlok also trusts astha in his own way and likes her playfulness and clumsiness and fighting him too.I am sure shlok will somehow redeem himself to Astha definitely (maybe by giving her more love than she needs)but Untill we know the real reasons, lets give him benefit of doubt as he has more problems to contend with.
Lets wait and see what happens in future and how ashlok will deal with it divorce and all.
The Cvs can change the story according to viewers wishes but in real life we have to go through certain situations, good or bad, her whether we like it or not to find the thruth.
