I've been an on and off viewer of Veera, but after post leap been watching it without miss. What inspired me to watch was older RanVeera bond and curiosity. Slowly, I found them good and I liked Shivin very much from the beginning. He is doing a good job and most of the new entries are doing a great job, both acting wise and also characters wise. Th most surprising elements were Baldev and Gunjan. Baldev seems to be an attitude filled guy, but otherwise he's quite good hearted. And coming to the topic of Gunjan, she was like a nice, cool gal who craved for her mothers love from the beginning., also suffered in the hands of her partiality over her brother Baldev who also mistreated her. Then as she came into greater focus, I found her obsession to marry an NRI very annoying.
IMO, she doesn't even know English, let alone read and speak, what will she do when she goes to a foreign country with her NRI dream boy??
It's not that Iam undermining villagers, but bansuri's dialogue yesterday took me back to this trance once again,, " I thought you'll marry an NRI Munda and make me proud.., but you fell for that Ranvi!!"
" what's the big deal about marrying an NRI...? Isn't Ranvi her best friend? Doesn't she know how good her friend is? In which way Ranvi is lesser than an unknown NRI groom? I find this obsession utter stupidity.. Marrying a good guy isn't more essential for a successful marriage life,, than marrying an unknown NRI stranger?
Yesterday Gunjan's scene with her father, made me feel for her, seriously she meant it heartily when she said that her father was the one who gave her immense love since childhood.. But as soon as her antics against Ranvi was shown, my sympathy vanished, to be replaced by irritation at her foolishness for hurting a good guy like Ranvi...
Is Ranvi's too much of goodness turning against him? But that's what Ranvi is made of, otherwise, he wouldn't be the Anoki maa to Veera. His goodness is his identity, why can't Gunjan accept for what he is, rather than craving for what he's not and what he cannot be .., i.e; NRI? Should Ranvi be like a Baldev to deal Gunjan?
