Actress Kareena Kapoor will soon be honoured with the Smita Patil Memorial Award for her outstanding contribution to the Indian film industry.
The award ceremony will be held on September 19 at Hotel Hilton Towers in Mumbai with Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh as the chief guest.
Nanik Rupani, chairman of the Priyadarshini Academy had announced it recently. N R Narayana Murthy of Infosys Technologies, honorary dean and chief cardiologist at Bombay Hospital B K Goyal, IIPM Professor Arindam Chaudhuri etc are amongst the others who've been bestowed with the award earlier.
Kareena has won hearts with her stupendous performance in Vishal Bharadwaj's OMKARA lately. Watch her gyrating to the much-hyped 'Yeh mera dil' from DON. Her forthcoming films include Satish Kaushik's MILENGE MILENGE and Mani Ratnam's LAJJO with Aamir Khan.
