Alok Nath 'amused' on becoming the butt of jokes on Twitter

Veteran actor Alok Nath is amused and bemused beyond imagination.

The actor who has been in the entertainment industry for decades now was hit by a rather quirky internet phenomenon when he became the butt of jokes on Twitter.

Yes, with no reason or any special occasion, Alok Nath was trending on Twitter with the hash tag #AlokNath. Soon jokes and memes on Alok Nath spread like wildfire in the social networking space.

It all started with first funny tweet stating, "Our nation only learnt about heart attacks because of Alok Nath."

Later, quickly someone else tweeted, "Alok Nath wears sweater in Mumbai because his mom in Punjab felt cold."

The way Rajnikanth jokes become famous the same way Alok Nath and his Sanskaari jokes went viral on social networking sites.

Initially I didn't understand why they started using my name and I got a bit scared. But later after reading the tweets I was jumping with laughter and I was absolutely thrilled. I am taking it in a very positive way. There is nothing wrong in it. It's not that they are abusing me or are against me. I take it with a pinch of salt and move on. In fact I feel they have made me smile in such a dull life."
