Return of the dead' on TV
Eva Grover
Zombie movies might be a new thing inBollywood, but when it comes to the small screen, there have been many characters who have made a comeback after they were shown dead in their respective daily soaps. Whether it is with plastic surgery, as a new lookalike character, or as an undercover character seeking revenge against the villain, the tortuous storylines with the dead characters making a comeback make it difficult for viewers to follow, but who's complaining!

Eva Grover | Niharika in Bade Acche Lagte Hain She flaunted her designer labels and high-class attitude in BALH. But the stylish vamp/mother-in-law of BALH met her ill-fated end in a car crash, which was intertwined in the storyline after she decided to quit the show. But the actress, who refused to play grandmommy post the leap, will be seen coming back from the dead soon, to help the leading lady Priya (Sakshi Tanwar) come out of her coma in a whirlwind twist planned in her character.

Sukirti Kandpal | Simran in Kaisa Yeh Ishq Hai Ajab Sa Risk Hai A Singaporean returned NRI Simran (Sukirti Kandpal) settles down in a patriarchal Haryanvi family for the love of her life, Rajveer (Gaurav Bajaj). But as the first season of the show ended on a dramatic note, Simran was 'killed' by the antagonist, Lohari Bua amid surprise twists and turns. But the second season, which will go on air soon, will see the return of the petite actress in a brand new avatar.

Romit Raj | Varun in Adalat Romit Raj, who played the devoted sidekick to KDPathak (Ronit Roy) in Adalat, was shot dead by a criminal in one of the episodes. Sources said that his character was killed as Romit was all set to enter the latest season of Bigg Boss. But as there is no sign of Romit in the reality TV show at present, his character is going to make a comeback from the dead in Adalat in a whole new avatar. For all his fans who were mourning over his death, it's time to rejoice!

Comeback capers Avinesh Rekhi, as Sultan in Madhubala... Ek Ishq Ek Junoon as a manipulative villain made a comeback after his death but once the show's viewership dipped with his track, Sullu was packed up for good.

Aditya Redij as Prithvi in Junoon Aisi Nafrat Toh Kaisa Ishq made a comeback after his 'death but he couldn't salvage the abrupt end to the show.

Yash Pandit played Satya in the mythological romance, Savitri who 'returned' to life amid high-voltage drama and a well-shot climax sequence.

Rohit Khurana, Vansh in Uttaran, was 'killed' to garner TRPs, but after his death, the numbers dipped and the makers had to bring his character back with dramatic twists!

Amar Upadhyay, as the first Mihir in Kyunki Saans Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi , created history when he was 'killed'. Due to popular demand, the fave beta returned on the show.
