Kanchi to the rescue
TV actor Kaul saves driver's life by rushing him to hospital after he suffers heart attack
Television actor Kanchi Kaul had a harrowing experience recently when her driver suffered a heart attack while he was driving her home. However, when the driver started feeling uneasy, he remained calm and had the presence of mind to tell the actor to take over the car.
Without revealing much, Kanchi confirms the incident, saying, "Yes, it happened, and it was very scary." Her friend who was in the car with her at the time of the incident, reveals, "At around 7.30 pm, she left for home with her 55-year-old driver, but soon, he began coughing a lot. Kanchi asked him if he was okay, which is when he asked her to drive the car as he was feeling unwell."
Kanchi took over from him at a signal in Goregaon. "It was raining and there was a lot of traffic. People at a nearby department store guided her to a hospital. She spoke to her husband Shabbir (Ahluwalia), who told her that the driver might have been having a heart attack. She gave the driver CPR and rushed him to the hospital. The doctors later informed her that had she been even a little late, he might not have survived." Kanchi is footing her driver's medical bills and checking on him constantly.
