Biggest paid previews record (3 Idiots) smashed

Biggest opening day record (Ek tha tiger) smashed

Biggest 2nd day record (RA One) smashed

The king of Bollywood is back 👏

Here is my review;

The first half was awesome, preferred it to the 2nd half.
so damn funny, the train scene with 'Tujhe dekha' playing in the background was hilarious as SRK was helping the villains on the train, the Antakshari scenes and the line where SRK says 'aur tu Meir aurat' were Comedy gold.

The 2nd half had a better storyline but was less funny, the climax was excellent though slightly predictable. Sharukh's speech was acted brilliantly. The fight scene at the end was also great.

The only negatives I have about this movie are;

quite a lot of it was in Tamil, luckily for me it had English subtitles so I was okay, but people that can't read English or speak Tamil it may have been hard.

The title song wasn't in the movie Grrr, by far the best song in the film for me and they didn't even show it, sure it was in the background throughout the film but I would have preferred it if it was in the opening credits or something.

The songs were all squashed together in the 2nd half, literally one after another,

Besides that though I loved it, great masala movie, one of the best in recent times. Definitely better then Ready, Dabang 2, Khiladi 786, Ek tha tiger, YJHD, Himmatwala etc

Id say its on the same level as Dabang for me,

I give the movie 4 out of 5 stars.

Main hoon na, Om shanti Om, rowdy Rathore and Ghajjini are the only masala movies I'd rate higher then this, but Chennai Express is definitely top 5 for me.

Bullet Speed Of Chennai Express To Make It A Record Express?

As expected Chennai Express is smashing records relentlessly at the box office and creating its new ones! The film which released on Friday at the eve of Eid, is surely one of the year's most hailed films, both box-office and otherwise.

King Khan remains insurmountable and Deepika Padukone has easily bagged another wonder flick to her credit after Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani and Race 2. In a matter of 2 days merely, Koimoi has managed to compile Top 10 records the film has already attained.

Deepika Padukone And Shah Rukh Khan in Chennai Express Movie Stills

1) In U.K circuit, Chennai Express' preview day collections ( 142,220) were the most overwhelming as it managed to surpass the records previously held by My Name Is Khan, Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna, Aamir Khan's 3 Idiots and Salman Khan's Ek Tha Tiger.

2) The film made a record of the Highest Paid-Preview Day Collections. The film earned 6.75 croresfrom its paid previews only.

3) In U.A.E circuit of G.C.C, the film saw the highest opening ever with a cumulative collections of$575,000.

4) In Singapore too, the film with a box office collections of $ 95,400 on Thursday, which was the highest opening day collections raked by any Bollywood film in the circuit.

5) In U.K again, the film saw the highest opening day collections ever witnessed for a Bollywood film as it collected 258,598 on its 1st Friday in the region.

6) The film also recorded the highest opening day collections ever, at the domestic box office beating Salman Khan's record of 32.92 crores of Ek Tha Tiger. Chennai Express made a whooping33.10 crores at the domestic box office.

7) The film began famously even in U.S.A and Canada as it collected an approximate of $700,00 on its opening day alone becoming the 1st Bollywood film to have such a grand opening in the circuit.

8) The film is the highest opening day collections of any SRK film till date. Though Don 2, Ra.One and even Jab Tak Hai Jaan began well, Chennai Express assured that King Khan claims back his position of the highest opener ever.

9) Deepika Padukone saw the biggest hilt of 2013 and ever as well. With 3 successful films in her kitty, Chennai Express surpassed the opening day numbers of Race 2 which made 16.10 crore andYJHD which made 19.45 crores on its opening day respectively. Undoubtedly with such strong box office numbers to her and critics loving her work as they hail her for outshining SRK, this year has been wonderful for the lady!

10) And finally, Chennai Express has made the Highest Day 2 records at the domestic box office. With an earning of 28 crores, the film did a brilliant business on its 2nd day as well becoming the highest day 2 grosser at the domestic box office
