Shivani is like a princess in a fairytale: Mansi Srivastav
Do Dil Bandhe Ek Dori SeMore Pics
Last seen as Heer in Zee TV's 'Rab Se Sohna Ishq', the bubbly and vivacious Mansi Srivastavhas been cast as Shivani in Film Farm's latest production for Zee TV, 'Do Dil Bandhe Ek Dori Se'.

Mansi will play the female lead opposite dashing actor, Arhaan Behl. With scores of TV ads under her belt and an upcoming Bollywood film called '27', the young lady aspires to make it big as an actor. Ask the actress about her role in this show and she says, "I got to know that I was selected after many other actors were auditioned, so I'm definitely feeling lucky and blessed. An opportunity to work with the very popular Arhaan Behl and a veteran like Alok Nath is huge for me. The character of Shivani is like a princess in a fairytale. She is pampered by her grandfather (played by Alok Nath). She has grown in the lap of luxury and has always protected by her grandfather from the grim realities of life. Then one day, she's caught up in circumstances that suddenly changes her life forever!"

The acting bug had bitten Mansi right from childhood. "I loved acting and talking to myself in front of the mirror as a child. I used to mimic other people and entertain everybody around so it was natural for me to pursue acting as a career..." says the actor. As she grew up, she honed her skills with theatre groups like Rangsaptak, Ateliar Theatre and Pratibimb."

Alok Nath also plays a pivotal role in the show. Synonymous with being a father figure in umpteen serials and films, Alok Nath will now be seen playing a rich grandfather (Balwant Rana) to Mansi Srivastav in the show. The actor said, "After 'Yahaan Main Ghar Ghar Kheli', this is my next show on Zee TV where I play a doting grandfather to my grand-daughter Shivani who has lost her parents. And like every guardian, Balwant Rana's only dream is to find an ideal groom for her grand daughter who'll keep her happy life long before he dies. It's a beautiful story that will pull at your heartstrings. I hope like 'Yahaan Main Ghar Ghar Kheli', this show is also loved by the audiences!"
