Virat tells Viren that he has a plan to unite the families, and all Viren has to do is keep agreeing. Viren agrees and they go off.
Both the families are sitting and having tea while Maanvi-Jeevika are watching them.
Virat tells Viren about a video he watched where the Punjabis danced very well. The Chaddhas agree while the Iyyers make faces. Viren disagrees to it and says that the South Indians are professionally trained in the classical arts. Mrs Iyyer mentions that she has a sister trained in Bharatnatyam, and the Chaddhas look on in disdain. Maanvi jumps in, and adds that the energy and the popularity of the Punjabi Bhangra can't be matched by anyone. Jeevika disagrees and goes on about how the South Indian classical dances are tough. Mrs Chaddha agrees with Maanvi and says that all said and done, the Punjabi Bhangra is the best.
Sri's uncle rises up in anger and says that all said and done, the South Indian dance form is the best dance form. The Chaddha women stand up to defend the Punjabi Bhangra and talk about how famous their dance is. The Iyyers say that they will show how good their dance is.
At this moment, Virat interjects and stops them from fighting. He asks them to have a competition; Bhangra VS South Indian Classical Dance. The loser of the competition has to listen to the other family and do what they want. All agree and move off to practise.
Viren asks Virat what nonsense is he doing, when he replies that dance brings people closer, and this will bring the two families to understand each other and their cultures. Viren understands and agrees.
A montage where the Iyyers and the Chaddhas are shown to be practising their various dance forms vigorously.
Sri texts Vikram, asking him about his family's preparations, to which he replies that they're practising well, and asks her family to practise well.
Virat and Viren explain the contest to the families who have assembled in the living room, and the condition is that they have to dance to a song picked by the Vadheras. Jeevika plays the music, which is the song Chammak Challo from the film Ra. One. The Iyyers and Chaddhas are dancing in their respective traditional forms vigorously while Viren-Jeevika and Virat-Maanvi are grooving in the corner and the Vadheras are watching. Towards the end, all the Iyyers and Chaddhas begin to dance together, and Sri-Vikram begin to dance together.
When the song ends, the Iyyers and Chaddhas realise what had happened and turn their attention to Sri-Vikram who were cosying up together, and their elders begin to admonish them. Mr Chaddha then admonishes Virat for playing a song that caused the proximity to increase between Sri and Vikram. Once again, the Chaddhas and Iyyers get all furious.
Maanvi-Virat and Viren-Jeevika are in Viren-Jeevika's room and laughing about how Virat's plan did have some effect on the two families. Maanvi says that since the plan was so good, he deserves a hug; while he jokingly jerks away from her accusing her of not taking a shower. She punches him lightly and hugs his arm, and says that he can't escape her. Viren and Jeevika are also chuckling. Maanvi remarks how fun it has been for them as they all have been laughing heartily since this sequence began, and Jeevika wishes that even Sri-Vikram get such happiness and their families accept their love.
Someone knocks on the door of the Iyyers, and Mrs Iyyer opens it to find no one there. However, she does find a post-it on the door, asking them to come over to the garden secretly without informing Sri. The three of them contemplate and go over to the garden, as they understood that it was probably the Chaddhas.
In the garden, the Chaddhas and the Iyyers are standing facing each other. The two families admit that they are sick of the Punjabi VS Madrasi fight. They decide to teach their kids that THEY are the boss, which is why they decide to come together to separate the kids.
The next morning at 6, Jeevika wakes up in shock, realising that the house is silent.
Mr Chaddha too wakes up, realising that the Iyyers haven't begun their suprabadham. He texts Mr Iyyer who is shocked at waking up late and wakes up his wife and makes her switch on the CD player, which plays out the sound of a shehnai. The Chaddhas and Iyyers are getting into action, and then realise that the opposite families aren't all that bad. They snap out of it and get back to their normal attitude.
The Chaddhas and the Iyyers go off screaming to each other about how could the Chaddhas turn off the CD, when Sri remarks that it is still switched on. They cover it up hastily and continue their fierce -yet fake- argument. In the middle of their argument, Vikram and Sri begin to fight with one another. Maanvi, Virat, Jeevika and Viren come and ask what's going on, when the Chaddhas are them not to interfere. The elders then instigate Vikram-Sri against each other, which confuses them and causes them to fight even more, and they walk off in a huff. The Vadheras are beyond shocked at what just transpired. Maanvi kinda spots Mr Chaddha and Mr Iyyer winking at each other and realises something is wrong.
Virat and Maanvi in the study, where Maanvi tells Virat that she is sure something is up with the Iyyers and the Chaddhas; and it appears as if they're working on it together. Virat counters that they don't even look at each other's face, which means it is impossible for them to plan all this, but Maanvi is insistent. She then tells Virat to keep an eye on the Chaddhas while she keeps and eye on the Iyyers, and in that way they'll get some clue as to what has been transpiring between the two families.
The Iyyers go off into the room where Mrs Iyyer is shedding crocodile tears and instigating Sri against Vikram and his family. At the same time, the Chaddhas are instigating Vikram against Sri as well. Vikram gets a text message from Sri, who asks him to meet her ASAP. He leaves, and the Chaddhas are congratulating each other about their almost successful plan, and also add in a good word about the Iyyers.
Virat overhears all this and Maanvi's words reverberate in his head as he understands what the families have been plotting. Episode ends.
Precap: Virat tells Jeevika-Maanvi about the plan, and they're worried that Sri-Vikram shouldn't do anything drastic. Vikram-Sri at the terrace, and Vikram is like the only way left is for us to run away. Sri counters, saying that there is another way.
