Viren hugs Vikram and says Mubarakaan Vikram, and he's corrected by Sri's brother who's like Venkat. Sri thanks her appa for allowing the alliance to take place. Her father says that they'd come next with their pandit to fix the dates, and then asks for some filter coffee, to which Jeevika replies that she'll be back with the filter coffee. As she passes Daddu, he remarks less sugaram for his filter coffee.

Jeevika is  making coffee in their coffee maker and Maanvi comes in saying that their plan is working out perfectly well and they were stressed for no use. Jeevika says that the drama is begun, but if its not carried out properly then they all will drown as they don't know how to swim. Maanvi tells her to chill as all will be okay, and also mentions that the trouble is probably saying ille ille right now 😆

Vikram and Sri are covertly holding hands under the sofa and sneaking glances when Vikram's phone rings. He goes to receive it only to find his mother on the other end, who says that the family is about to reach Chandigarh (and the Vadhera house) in a while. Vikram is shocked.

In the kitchen, Jeevika asks Maanvi if she knows how to make filter coffee, to which Maanvi replies that she's running behind it for no use. She says they'd make coffee in half a minute and is about to fix the coffee maker, when Jeevika tells her that they should at least make the filter coffee truthfully. She mentions that Sri's family is South Indian, and they're fond of coffee. They'd be able to differentiate between a filter coffee and a bottle coffee and a packet coffee in two seconds.

On the other hand, Vikram is trying to convince his parents not to come, but they're not ready to listen and they cut the call. Virat comes to ask Vikram as to why does he look as if the world is about to end, and then tells him about the fact that his solid Punjabi family is on their way. The rest of the family slowly makes their way forward to Vikram-Virat where they too find out the issue. Sri dissuades her family from thinking that something is wrong and goes over to the Vadheras+Vikram to find out what's the matter.

Sri comes over and asks what's wrong when Vikram tells her that his family is about to step into the Vadhera house in the next 5 minutes. Jeevika then cries about how she knew that the plan would face some problems when Maanvi asks her to calm down and try and think of a counter plan. She then says that they need to get Sri's family out of the house ASAP when Swamini interrupts with a plan. She says that the main aim is that the two families shouldn't cross one another, and that can easily be solved since the Vadhera Mansion is huge. She asks Inder to take the Iyyers up to the library and entertain them with the books available for as much time as he can; and that would take about half to one hour. She then tells Virat and Vikram to keep Sri's mamaji occupied by taking him to the garden. Virat cribs about how stubborn and suspicious Sri's uncle is and says that it would be difficult to keep him occupied, when Vanshika says that they'll say that they'll make an excuse that most of them had to urgently visit a neighbor to cover the absence. The rest of the family+Sri-Vikram agree to this plan and get to work.

Inder RUNS over to Sri's family and asks his parents if he and his wife would like to visit the library. He agrees, but enquires about his filter coffee to which Inder replies that since it is so special, it takes time to be made. At the same time, Virat offers to take Sri's uncle out to the garden to which he expresses his suspicions about the sudden hadbad that has been happening, and Daddu inserts that there is no hadbad or gadbad. The uncle says that he will only go to garden AFTER he drinks his filter coffee. Vikram panics as he senses his family is outside, and Daddu admonishes him and asks him to go help Virat in getting the uncle out. Vikram then goes and says that there is no need for Sri's uncle to visit the garden, and he can remain seated in the living room. This infuriates him, and he agrees to go visit the garden and have his filter coffee there. The rest of the family are happy with this turn of events and Virat takes the uncle out. Inder then bursts into tears about how he's been begging the Iyyers to see the library but no one wants to see it. Sri's dad is flummoxed and agrees to go visit the library, and a supposedly teary Inder escorts Sri's parents over.

As they heave a sigh of relief, Sri tells the Vadheras that Vikram's parents think that she's a Punjabi, so they need to get out of the South Indian attire. Maanvi replies that all said and done, this wedding will take place, so all run to change their clothes and get back to their Punjabi attire.

Inder is trying to show the Iyyers the various books in the library when Sri's father exclaims that he has no interest in the law books. Sri's mother asks if they have any books on music and dance, and Inder is stumped. Sri's father asks for his long due filter coffee as his throat is parched and Inder leaves to find Maanvi for it. On calling out to Maanvi, she appears in her normal attire and asks him to stay away from Vikram's family as he's in a South Indian attire and they are under the impression that she's a Punjabi. Maanvi goes off, and a very confused Inder too goes back in.

Maanvi goes to find Jeevika and Sri checking themselves out in the mirror; Jeevika has dressed Sri like a complete Punjabi kudi. Maanvi compliements her and puts a light kaajal ka kaala tika on her to ward off all buri nazar.

Inder goes back into the library, only to have Sri's parents ask him for their much awaited filter coffee. Inder replies that the coffee is in the kitchen and he'll get it. When Sri's parents offer to accompany him, he goes into Rajnikanth mode and shouts out that they'll remain there and only he'll go to get the coffee. As he leaves, Sri's parents are quite shocked at his sudden Rajni Anna imitation.

Inder climbs down the stairs holding up his dhoti, muttering to himself about how difficult it is to manage to wear one all the time. As he goes down, he overhears Vikram's family entering and covertly climbs back up and hides near the pillar as he can't be seen.

Vikram's family is surprised to find an empty living room, and his father screams out for someone to come out. His scream reverberates into the garden where Sri's uncle asks Virat and Vikram the source of the sudden Punjabi shout. Vikram and Virat pretend as if they've heard nothing and he's hearing things. As Vikram is about to leave to sort things out with his parents, Sri's uncle chases him and asks him as to where is he going. Virat makes an excuse that he needs to run to the washroom to relieve himself and if he doesn't go off in time, he'll have to relieve himself in the bushes which is very dirty. Sri's uncle is disgusted and lets him go.

Viren and Daddu are getting back into their normal clothes, and Viren is finding it difficult to untie the dhoti. He finally manages to do so.

Vikram runs out to meet his family, who're still screaming for someone to come and receive them. He hugs them, while Inder is spying from upstairs. Vikram's father asks where are the Vadheras, to which he replies that they're just behind. The Vadheras, now in their normal clothes, make their appearance as the jatt Punjabi family.

As Vikram's family are seated, they ask for Sri; who is brought out by the the Vadhera ladies. Vikram's parents are impressed with her and they gush over her. Vikram's mother especially just fawns over her and coddles and smothers her ala Punjabi style, much to her discomfort. Vikram's bua remarks that Sri seems nice on the outside, but who knows how she'd be on the inside. Viren remarks that his bua is a female version of Sri's uncle. Vikram's father asks her to control, but she gives him a look and he relents.

He then says that he'll test Sri, and asks her to come in front of him. He then goes about bombarding her with questions such as have you visited a gurudwara, have you paid respects in a gurudwara, do you regularly do pooja-paath. The Vadhera ladies are signalling to Sri to say yes, but the poor girl is rather overwhelmed. Vikram's bua then interrupts by asking if she only reads film magazines or she does read the Guru Granthsahib or no. Sri is too overwhelmed to speak, and Vikram's bua again asks her if she's on a maunvrat, as she doesn't seem to open her mouth. Vanshika remarks that Sri is shy, and Viren comments about how the Vadheras are known for their culture, and the girls in their house are known to be rather shy and introvert around strangers. Jeevika adds that she's a very cultured girl. Vikram's father admits that they too were looking for a cultured Punjabi girl for their son. Maanvi interjects in a heavily accented Hindi that Sri is a very bright Punjabi girl, and she eats, lives and breathes Punjabi. She does each and everything to uphold the Punjabi culture and knows nothing other than it. Sri's eyes widen in shock but she only smiles and doesn't say anything, while Viren shakes his head and the Vadheras appear rather shocked at Maanvi's sudden declaration. To everyone's surprise however, Vikram's father declares that they're happy with the alliance and would love to get Sri married to Vikram, and they all begin to congratulate one another.

Inder unlocks the door to the library and brings in Tarun with him who's also brought in the much awaited filter coffee. Sri's parents' ask him the reason behind the sudden noise downstairs to which they reply that its their Colonel neighbor who's come over to visit. The Iyyers are excited and want to meet him but Inder strongly disagrees, touting that he's very dangerous and roams around with a rifle. He says he will go off to check on him. He leaves the room in exasperation, without locking the door from the outside.

Downstairs, Vikram's parents are pleased as punch. Vikram's mother asks Sri if she can cook, since their family is fond of eating. Once again, Maanvi steps in to sing praises of Sri and goes on and on about how she's such a fabulous cook that the eater would lick the cutlery and utensils clean after they've eaten her food. She then adds that she's won Chandigarh's MasterChef Contest, and pretends as if she's about to go get the certificate when Sri asks her what is she doing, and asks her to stay back. Note that she does this in a strong South Indian accent, thus shocking Vikram's family and the Vadheras.

Precap: The Iyyers manage to escape the Law Library Jail and breathe a sigh of relief. As they're stretching, Vikram spots them and informs Maanvi-Jeevika about the fact that the Iyyers are coming down. All are shocked.

PS: Hilariously confusing episode as all are running around trying to keep secrets from each other! Maanvi's random declarations were hilarious, she does come up with the most outlandish of things! Special mention to Anupam Bhattacharya; the man's a bong, he plays a Punjabi and is now impersonating a South Indian to the T! Fabulous work!
