One has to hand it to the director for making sure all members of his cast get equal footage, especially renowned actors like Surekha Sikri and Sudhir Pandey. It is the acting caliber of these artists that raises BV to a different level as far as daily soaps are concerned. I am so glad to see that these two stalwarts who have given us some memorable performances in serials like Tamas and Buniyaad respectively, have not been merely used as decorative pieces and have been given some superb dialogues and scenes...Daddu gently reprimanding Ira for her behavior towards Anandi in yesterdays episode was classic acting by the veteran...totally loved it...and this is what sets BV apart...it does look like they are touching same old saas-bahu topics, but the way it has been handled by the director is truly worth mentioning...the mothers insecurity about the sons love for her...her being relegated to second position after the entry of the wife...the sons predicament of being caught between the two most important women in his life...the DIL trying her best not to step on the MILs toes but also trying to get a hold on her relationship with her new found love...cant wait to watch Surekha Sikri's dadisa in the coming episodes and see how she justifies her actions to the Shekhars... but I am sure PY has some great plans mapped for these legendary actors...
