Arjun and Roshni were coming back from Roshni's colleague's wedding in Bandra.
The roads were free... Chilly winds were in the air.
Roshni was sitting in the front passenger seat,beside.She was admiring the cool nature from the window.
Slight drops of rain were falling.
She was actually admiring the beautiful things that take place during the rain.
As the wheels of the car were rolling,she saw an old couple,who were sitting under the gazebo of the park,who were enjoying the rain while they were having cutting chai.
She saw a bunch of kids,who were mindlessly,playing in the drizzle,irrespective of where they belong.
She saw a couple of teenage boys,who were playing football in the mud puddle,created by the drizzle.
She saw a newly married couple,who were trying to look for a shade in that drizzle,but failed.
That couple ended up getting wet in the rain and enjoying it with love.
These beautiful sights brought a sweet smile in Roshni's angelic face.
Roshni and Arjun were newly married,as well.They were married and living together,since 2 months,but,due to Arjun's hectic schedule,being an ACP of the ETF,they couldnt go for a honeymoon.
Roshni understood that and,hence,never voiced out her inner feelings.She understood him so well.
That sweet smile which crept up on Roshni's angelic face,was noticed by Arjun.
Immediately,he figured out,what she wanted.
But,kept mum,because,he wanted Roshni to voice out her feelings.
Arjun tried to grab her attention.
Arjun: Ahem Ahem... Roshni,kya dekh rahi ho bahar? Kabhi meri taraf bhi dekha karo?
Roshni's cheeks turned pink.She blushed.
That innocent blush brought a smile on our ACP's face.
Roshni(looking at him): Aapko pata hai,Arjun.Bachpan mein mujhe baarish mein bheegna bohut accha lagta thha.
Arjun(smiling):I know,meri jaan.Tumhe bachpan mein baarish mein bheegna accha lagta thha.Ab nahi lagta hai kya?
Roshni(unknowingly):Haan...Lagta hai na.
She realized what she said.She bit her tongue,slightly.She knew,what will come up now.
Roshni(mumbling for words): Woh...Woh...Ar..r..jun,I am sor..rry... Mujhe bol..na nahi chahiye thha.
Arjun was amazed at her words.She was so much obedient and careful.She knew that Arjun doesnt like Baarish.And,Arjun knows very well,that,His Roshni loves Baarish a lot,and,he also knows that,she loves to sing and dance in the Baarish.He was amazed at he obedience to him.How she made his dislikes her dislikes and his likes,her likes,sacrificing her own.
Arjun mentally smacked himself for that.
After a few moments of silence,Roshni spoke.
Roshni: Arjun,aap naraaz toh nahi hai na? If you are,then,I am really sorry.Main aage se khayal rakhungi.
Suddenly,it started raining cats and dogs.
Arjun(feigning anger): Haan.Main tumse bohut naraaz hu,Roshni.
Roshni felt really bad.She disobeyed her husband for the first time in her life.
A lone tear drop fell from her doe-shaped eye.She turned towards the window and gazed outside.
This was noticed by Arjun.
Arjun's POV:
"Agar meri likes aur dislikes ko Roshni apna sakti hai,toh,main kyun nahi? I cant see you unhappy,Roshni."
After a few minutes,they reaches their palatial house.The guard opened the huge gates and the SUV entered the main entrance.
Roshni carefully got down from the seat and waited for Arjun to come.
After 2 minutes,Arjun came after parking the car.
Both of them went to their room for changing,as it was quite a tiring day.
After 15 minutes,Roshni changed her clothes and came out and saw that Arjun was not there in the room.
She got worried.
She kept the clothes in the wardrobe and went to search for him.
On the way,she found Nirmala,their servant.
Roshni: Nirmala,Arjun ko dekha hai kya?
Nirmala: Vahini,sahab toh upar terrace mein hai.Kehrahe thhe,ki,aapko bulake lau,Main aapko bulane aayi thhi.
Roshni wondered why Arjun was in the terrace,in the heavy rainfall.He will catch cold.
Roshni: Thik hai.Tum sone jao.Main upar jaati hu.
Roshni wore a red kameez and a black salwar.She went up to the terrace to Arjun.
What she saw,made her freeze in her tracks.
Arjun was enjoying the rain.
She actually didnt believe herself.She rubbed her eyes and pinched herself.
Then,she believed at last.
Roshni(to herself):Aga Bai...Yeh kya hai??? Hey Ganpati Bappa... Inhe sardi aur bukhar ho jayega.Inhe kaise bulau? Bappa,please madat kara...
Arjun sensed Roshni's presence.He signalled her to come,but,she nodded in a NO.
Arjun came to her and picked her up in his strong arms.
"Arjun,choriye mujhe.Aapko thand lag jayegi.Jaldi andar chaliye,please."
As she was about to go,Arjun held her by her wrist.She stopped in her tracks.
"Par,mujhe tumhare saath humari PEHLI BAARISH KI RAATH enjoy karni hai,Roshni.I know,ki,tum mere liye apne likes aur dislikes sacrifice karchuki ho.Please,Roshni.I want to this Rain with you.Tumhare likes aur dislike ko main apnana chahta.Shayad kal mouka mile na..."
She turned around and clamped his mouth and nodded in a NO.
