The episode starts with Kumud being reluctant on accepting the gift LN had brought for her but with VC's nod she agrees to take it. Guman walks in the room wanting to spend some time with LN but LN tells her how he wants to talk to Saras first when Kumud volunteers to go find Saras for him.
Sunny is shown trying to convince Saras that LN has come to India for him as he misses his son rather than just to meet his friend, VC. A stubborn Saras is completely in denial when Kumud comes there and tells him how LN wants to talk to him. Seeing Sunny taunt Saras about not wanting to come out of the darkness Kumud continues to put some sense in Saras by assuring him how according to her LN is here only for his son and from what she has seen she can tell how much Saras cares for LN.
An unconvinced Saras tells her how LN has never hugged him after his mother's death and ever since they had moved to Dubai he feels like a stranger. Saras blames his father for not being there for him when Kumud tells him how LN might have tried to but Saras had distanced himself to an extent that it was hard for LN to connect with his son.
LN is seen asking forgiveness from Dukhba when she tells him how the circumstances are different as Saras hasn't rejected the relationship but rather he is afraid of them so they should just give Saras some time and she is sure he is going to come around.
Everyone is in the kitchen for dinner when LN tells Kumud how they are going to celebrate Kumud's birthday on a bigger scale tomorrow since he is here. As Guman is trying to sit next to LN Kumud intentionally drops water on the seat forcing Guman to sit on the chair after. Kumud pulls another chair and makes Saras sit next to LN which isn't gone unnotice by Guman and a smiling Dukha.
Guman isn't happy with the way everyone is forcing LN to eat more when LN starts choking on the food. Guman tries to hand him a glass of water but Kumud hands another one to Saras signaling him to offer it to LN. Rather than taking the glass Guman offered, LN ends up taking the water Saras offered which doesn't go too well with Guman as she starts giving evil looks to Kumud.
VC starts talking about their past days when they decide that tonight they are going to sleep outside in the yard. At night VC and LN are talking when LN tells VC that he will forever be in dept to him because if he didn't help him when LN first moved to Dubai he wouldn't be where he is right now. Kumud and Saras come there when VC starts coughing as he gets sick and catches cold when he sleeps outside so Kumud forces him to go sleep in his room. Once VC comes to his room Gunial tells him that maybe Kumud wanted to leave LN and Saras alone as there seems to be some problem between them.
Outside LN and Saras are by themselves when LN tells him how he is going to be able to sleep properly after ages since he is back in the village and also has his son with him. LN then tells him how he was mad at Saras for coming to India without informing him but after Kumud making him understand and look at the situation from Saras' POV he has forgiven Saras. LN questions him as to why Saras didn't listen to him when he said that Kumud is perfect for Saras.
He continues to make Saras understand as to why they never got a chance to understand each other. He reminds Saras of a childhood incidence when Saras bought LN a gold ring that he had lost from his pocket money. He ends the conversation with telling Saras to give his and Kumud's relationship a thought.
A smiling Kumud watches LN cover Saras with a blanket and pat his head when she tells herself how she is fulfilling her promise to Dukhba by reminding the father-son duo of the love they have for each other. Saras who is awake smiles and thanks Kumud in his mind for taking this first step to bring him and LN closer.
Precap: Everyone's singing Happy Birthday to Kumud when Saras comes there and smiles after finding out its her birthday today.
