I don't think so. Many of the characters seem to come and go randomly from the show. I think they're off doing other things. But, it does seem like he is gone more than on the show these days.
I really wish he was on the show more regularly. He is one of the best parts of the show. They have his younger brother Mendhak filling in, but his character is just so annoying and a poor imitation of Gadha Prasad. All of the dialogues and actions that make Gadha Prasad so endearing end up seeming so fake and forced on Mendhak's character.
