So why did Damon call Elena over?🤔 He was reluctant to meet her earlier and kept his distance and now suddenly by her confession, things changed... OR DID THEY?
Damon promised his brother to set her free/ keep his distance with her (which he is doing) and Stefan is super pissed off these days. He himself wants a sire-free Elena loving him and not someone held by some sort of a spell. Plus, Elena just confessed to him on the phone and he told her that she might not like the methods by which he is going to accomplish breaking the sire bond. So, did Damon call her over for her to see the chaos/ the means by which he plans to break the sire bond, by forcing Jeremy to kill all the vampires that Klaus made and making Elena see the chaos/ mass murder Klaus created and to see her reactions for him and the entire situation afterwards.
Somehow, I feel that when Elena meets Damon in the next episode, its not going to be a purely romantic reunion (Hope I'm proved wrong here, I just want to hear more words from Elena conveying her love/ emotions/ feelings/ expectations/ wishes etc for Damon). I feel Damon's testing her reactions by allowing her to come to him and witness what is about to unfold or he just wants to keep her in the loop some how.
